I already use something like this for my DS Lite. I couldn't find any satisfactory cases that fit tight to the system and protect from everyday scratches, so I sewed up a cover from an old cotton T-shirt. I have to protect it from dropping and it doesn't have that fancy cord to attach to the DS, but it cleans off the fingerprints whenever it gets to dirty.

That looks exactly like a Zune pouch. I'll see if my DS fits in my Zune pouch when I get home. They are about the same size.

It also fits in Oakley sunglass bags, but those can vary in size.

Looks just like a pouch I got several years ago with a cheapie digital camera/video camera. The material is a bit different than the case my Oakley sunglass bag (a useless thing except for a quick wipe of the lenses, I popped for the hard case when I spent all that on the sunglasses, why not?) and my sunglass bag is too skinny for a DS or even a DS Lite.

I agree with Dig, if this is the type of case you want easy to sew one up out of an old tshirt, even if you have to hand sew it. Me, I use a case with a bit of padding and keep a screen cloth inside it that I can use on the outside too. Bulkier but since I'm a klutz I prefer a bit of protection.
