Will the third iteration of the game strike a balance between being boring enough for fans of soccer while not being so boring as to make the rest of us pine for the excitement of riding the bus? Only the demo will tell.

ea's street brand is the king of ironies as far as im concerned. i can enjoy standard american footbal and soccer games but the nfl/fifa street games turn out garbage. however, i cant stand traditional basketball games at all yet love all four nba street games. conspiracy? i think not.

Since I can't see videos at work, I'll have to use my imagination on this one. I picture this game's tournaments taking place in dusty-ass countries like Nigeria or Haiti where they really appreciate street soccer. They could throw obstacles in there like street vendors or goat herds, and instead of penalty cards, you'd be more concerned about getting clipped in the gunfire exchange between the warlord's army and local militias.
Hell, it might even make a soccer game interesting enough for me to pick up. I wonder if EA's hiring...

Right, so soccer is boring is it? This is coming from a guy in a country that's mad on a game where play stops every few minutes.
Or maybe it's boring because the US is absolutely crap at it?
Deaftly, so we only play one sport elsewhere in the world? Right, seriously, how are you even alive? Scientists would love to study a person who can live without a brain!
Joystiq, get someone who actually likes football (because that's what it's called, not soccer) to post about football games from now on. Let this idiot stick to other stuff.

I enjoy soccer, I liked the FIFA games, and I regard that trailer for FIFA Street 3 as refreshing.
While I haven't played a FIFA game since the PS1, nor have I ever played the FIFA Street series, I liked how the inserted new moves, like running on a wall with the ball, or hitting the other dude in the head with the ball, or even just juggling the ball over the opponent.
And what is it with all the hate against football? And what's with the stereotypes with poor countries? Europe loves its football very much.

Jives, I'm not a massive fan of football either but I hate this stereotypical assumption that nothing happens in football. I also bet the author knows nothing about football culture and all the violence it creates. I bet he wouldn't be making pathetic jokes about 'tea dollies' then.
I don't have much respect for writers who are writing for a worldwide audience but still have stereotypical assumptions. If you know nothing about the subject then you really shouldn't be writing about it.
