Rumor: Devil May Cry 4 demo coming January 31

The above image used to be part of a widget available for download at deceiverdeceived.com and betrayerbetrayed.com, two official Capcom websites for Devil May Cry 4. In the picture for the widget, the date January 31 was given for the release of a demo for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (via IGN).

Downloading the widget, however, revealed no such line, and it has since been stricken from the widget image. No word from Capcom about the line. Devil May Cry 4 is due out January 31 in Japan, and the following week in North America and Europe.

I have never played any DMC titles - how similar is this in gameplay and raw intensity to Ninja Gaiden titles?

Fuck yeh! Been waiting ages for news of a demo.

Anyway devil may cry is possibly "easier" than ninja gaiden but in overall fun, its far more enjoyable to combo etc.

It certainly isn't any less "intense" than NG though. In fact i'd say it had far more cinematic value.

It is generally "easier" though.

well technically nobody has played dmc4 yet so we cannot know yet.

And personally i would say NG has more enforced difficulty than natural difficulty. Simply adding two types of enemy which are hard to fight together into the same room isn't a smart type of difficulty.

Anyway, yes, DMC is generally easier. I said that.

I've only played the demo of Ninja Gaiden Sigma and the first six or so missions of Devil May Cry, but I can say that Ninja Gaiden is way more fun.

I really don't think I like Devil May Cry...But I want to give it another try with this demo.

cool. ive never played DMC but this fourth version looks to be very fun. anyway, i wanted to try it out to see if i liked it before i plopped down $60 for it. downloadable demos are like the greatest thing to happen to gaming! they save me so much money and disappointment from buying bad games!
