The latest whispers down the lane from Crytek sound something like a Crysis port bound for PlayStation 3, but not Xbox 360, at least, that's what PlayStation World UK is hearing (reposted by Games Radar). "Technical reasons" are cited for the lack of Xbox love, but with money kinda tight these days, we're guessing the gang hasn't turned its back on Microsoft's console just yet. (Heck, Ubisoft managed to shovel some semblance of Far Cry onto the original Xbox.) You can bet EA's got a few tricks up its sleeve too.
We've reached out to the publisher for the customary "no plans" comment. We'll keep y'all posted.
[Thanks, Eugene]

Lekko clearly doesnt have a 360 or for some dumb reason didn't install the fall update, the 360 dash is lightning fast now.

I probably didn't install the fall update actually, unless it does it automagically.
I should get on that... I really hope it fixes the stuttering because it is really really annoying.
The games it still won't fix though, but I'm not too mad since Blue dragon was a rental, and EDF was only like $8.

Apparently they're looking to add another 87,000 sales on top of the copies they sold on PC...
This makes no sense to me. They must be hurting from poor sales on the PC, why go to the console with far fewer units in the FPS-hungry US market?

I seriously doubt that the ps3 can handle crysis at max setting...but neither the 360 can so everyone stop being a bitch with the "good luck running at 9 fps" and "the cell is a piece of garbage" its just a freaking rumor and you are all acting as it was a real product already! and also Zeus.:God i can read your I AM A 360 FANBOI!1! sign from miles away.

What he said about both console is true. Try looking it up and read for once.
And he is not a fanboy for stating the truth, you troll.

Really, troll? Fuck off. All I have stated is factual. Neither console will have an easy time running Crysis, if they ever even try to port it, but as far as graphics are concerned, the 360 has an upper hand. Physics, AI, and such? Well the 2 are neck and neck with PS3 possibly being slightly ahead.

Zeus, does the xbox feel better than the PS3 when you put it up your butt? You know rounded corners and all...

@TheGuy
Last time I checked, a dual core processor was two fully functional processor cores on one die. So if the 360 has 3 dual core processors...
Anticrawl
wtf are you talking about. My post was about crysis running on a console. When talking about whats required to play a game, you usually mention your cpu, gpu, and ram. In my post, I talked about the cpu, gpu, and ram. so again, wtf are you talking about?

The 360 has 3 cores. Its not 3 dual core processors. If it had 3 dual core processors, then the PS3 wouldn't stand a chance, and you would see games like Gears of War running at 60 FPS or higher, since there would be no reason for the cap.
On top of that, the 360 would be truly revolutionary, considering it would perform as well as 3 Cells (just by combining the performances).
All that rambling... The Xenon is a PowerPC based processor, with 3 PPEs. A PPE is a core. That means 3 cores.

You know what I hate the most?
that I came here and read your comments.
"oooh architecture!" SHUT UP! You know nothing about anything yet you come on here re-spewing out what some devloper has already spewed in some blog (blag). And then of course you just change some pieces of info, throw in some jargon and BAM! instant Page Dn...
I would hope crysis would be brought to consoles. I know it wouldn't look as good, but those physics videos and all the stuff you can do in it looks pretty fun :) Oh and yes to shoot things...

I know I've talked about this bit about Crysis going to the PS3 instead of the 360 before.

You want to play the game that badly? Play it on the platform it was meant for.

Uhmmm, it's real simple: IF they were to do a console port, they would do a 360 port. Why?
1) Lower cost to port from PC to 360 than PC to PS3.
2) Much larger install base.
3) Crysis is very much a GPU-driven game... Cell ain't gonna help much here.
So yeah, if I were you, I would take that rumor into my pipe and smoke it.

if they port a game like crysis to the 360 they would have to cut some serious corners for it to even run...hense why sony put in blu ray it makes a lot more sense to put it on the ps3 due to it will actually be close to, or the same experience...killzone 2 is the same way if guerilla was to put it on the 360 the game would literally have to be cut in half..the reason crysis was a "flop" on the pc is because how many people can actually say they have a computer to run it at even 30 FPS..not very many, maby 1 out of a 100 pc owners could actually play this game at a decently fun and fast pace..now if they port it to the 360 or ps3(i really dont care) then everyone who owns the system can play instead of the computer "geeks" that are willing to put 2 grand into a up to par computer to play it... ive played crysis once and as far as im concerned it aint worth a 2000 dollar pc to play that game, because theres better ones on the consoles...so overall i think it would be a wise choice for crytec to put this on the ps3, plus as a couple of you stated it is cheap to port games so why not??
