Totally depends on how much you're into VG music. If you think it's the best thing since sliced bread, then yes, it's worth the 250 mile trip. If it's just something you like and listen to on the side, then maybe not.
They do sell out so plan accordingly.

I can't believe they're going to Utah. Freaking awesome.

Living in Southwest Wyoming, this is perfect for me.

Still, weird they're showing three times there.

What exactly is wrong with Utah? besides, they are on the other side of the mormon veil, where Salt Lake City's mormon population is below the national average and the religious makeup is more so like new york city than des moines. Utah is a great place, and march is a wonderful time of year to be here, especially if you enjoy the outdoors (you can ski on water and on snow in the same day, easily). Please take your opression of the great state of Utah and shove it. If it was such a bad place, why would there be 3 shows here? 3!! wake up, loser.

Mexicali Rocks!!!!

Im from Mexicali :D but who's going to play it there? ANd will it be cheaper than Sn Diego, I live in San diego now, but things are too expensive. Guess it's just the price to live in paradise.

But Mexicali?? Wow, I know its the capitol of the state (baja California) but it's not as big as Tj

hmmmm

People skating with Alien costumes while a guy dressed like Master chief using a laser tag gun shoots them,That would be so epic.

I went to go see VGL with the Nation Symphony Orchestra in Washington D.C. It was simply awesome. I also cried like a bitch to the Metal Gear Solid theme song.

Only let down is that since Squeenix is so protective over their IP's, the show isn't allowed to show any footage of Square Enix games and the only played a song from Kingdom Hearts with random images of disney stuff and at the end of the concert they played One Winged Angel, which everyone gamer has heard 1 million too many times. There are far better Final Fantasy songs to choose from. There wasn't any display at all for One Winged Angel, just the music and no thank you from Square Enix for playing their music.

Other than that, great show, I loved all 2 hours of it and It really is awesome to hear your favorite video game songs played that loud and with such great quality.

If it's not a big hassle to go, definitely make the trip.

I went in 2007, and it was actually really well put together. My girlfriend bought the tickets, as she submits me to countless opera's and concertos, she thought I would like it, which I did. The surprising thing was, that she liked it just as much as a regular philharmonic outing. Anyways, they have a good show, and the music (at least in my city w/out Philharmonic Orch) was really well put together. I think it makes for a nice sunday afternoon outing, or you could easily make it an evening.

It'd be faster to get to Milwaukee from Chicago than getting to Indianapolis, if a lengthy drive is your major concern. As to why there's no Chicago show at all, it's entirely possible that the reason for that is the entire orchestra is made up of cigarette smokers and they refuse to play in states that do not permit such habits in public venues, thus explaining the lack of a Colorado show as well.

Sorry. Glasgow never gets this sort of stuff normally. And the best part is, I'm only a 35 minute train journey to both the Royal concert Hall and the SECC, wherever it's held.
Life is good.
