It's been nearly a month since the last infusion of DLC came to Guitar Hero III, and if we weren't getting regular, reasonably priced updates to a game that also lets you sing and play drums, we would be totally curious about what was up. Today though, Shacknews reported what they believe to be three new songs coming to the game: Foreigner's "Juke Box Hero," Journey's "Any Way You Want It" and Boston's "Peace of Mind." All three of the songs were spotted in the game's online leaderboards (though there don't seem to be any sign of them now).
As long-time fans of Guitar Hero, we'd love to see Activision do something big to put their title back on even footing with Rock Band. But three songs, one of which ("Juke Box Hero") is already in Rock Band does not a comeback make. Let's hope these tracks, rocking though they may be, are part of a large offering.

Screw GH3. Put Journey and "Peace of Mind" on RB.

I thought that we were gonna finally get new content at the end of the year, when they make us buy GH4. I wish I bought Rock Band, because there is more content, and at least most of the songs aren't crappy covers.

NICE! I love me some Journey. Not bad live either, saw them with Def Leopard. That's another band they need.
I heard Dr. Feelgood for the first time in a long while and thought it would be good in GH or RB also.

"We need AC/DC on Rock¬Band¬, because all of their sing-along anthems can't even begin to be enjoyed with a guitar alone."
...fixed that for you.

This past Wednesday night, I found my GH3 disc to have been ruined by the dog though still in one piece. Thursday I get home from work, I try to pop in Uncharted but the disc won't go in. If I was a betting man, I'd put my money on my 20 month old son putting the damaged GH3 disc in my PS3 and now it's stuck in there. Sony is sending the box for repair. What a week. :(

I was sort of sad to see GH3 get songs that I want for Rock Band. But then I saw that I have only heard the one that is already on Rock Band, and stopped feeling sad.

To paraphrase Triumph, this DLC pack is like "poop travelling up into the butthole"...not unlike a Bon Jovi show at Giants Stadium.

I believe I actually still have a copy of "Electronic Games" from way back when with that Journey ad in it stowed away back in my toybox in mom and dad's attic. Ah, the good old crappy days.

I have Journey Escape! My roommates and I busted out the old Atari last year and we played this for hours, running from the groupies and managers, dodging stages, and running for the limo, with "Don't Stop Believing" playing in the background!

GH3 promised us more DL's than ever and so far we got videos about the DL's, wtf!

finally! gh3 is so much more fun for me than rock band in the "guitar" aspect. I like the drums but the guitar is lame in rock band and now i get to rock out with journey!!

I'll be happy to join him there.
I don't care about karaoke, don't care about drums and want a guitar note chart that doesn't put me to sleep.
