Tiberium (the Command & Conquer FPS) debut trailer

Though info on EA's Command & Conquer FPS, Tiberium, was dropped in last month's Game Informer we were left staring at press images (like the one you see above) that did little to explain the game's aesthetic, not to mention the "blend of first-person shooting and tactical squad combat" gameplay the press material's promise. Cue the debut trailer, just gone live at GameTrailers, which doesn't help so much in the latter category – it's all CGI, no gameplay here – but we're liking the aesthetic (hey, did you borrow that helmet from the Dead Space guys down the hall?). The worst part is I HATED Renegade...

No Mercy if this Sucks, it could kill C&C for me if they don't give me a solid PC release....

Eh... I liked Renegade. I wish I could play it more, but I lost my disks a long time ago... that and no one plays online anymore.

I also enjoyed Renegade - it was perfect for LAN parties.

Considering the complete lack of gameplay I would be inclined to agree. Why wouldn't not crank out another Renegade since they know a mediocre shooter is all they need to make tons of cash?

I would say this seems more like Star Wars: The Clone Wars, than Renegade 2.0. Nice to see something new.

Really I'd rather see a new Red Alert game some time before 2010 than this. Anyone else want RA3?

Id be careful to judge a game based on a CGI trailer. Better see some in-game first.

Plus, it has that logo at the end. Not saying they're touching it, but if they do....

Was is really necessary for 1/3 of the video to show the camera moving right above the ground? We get it. You can render a detailed terrain scene out of engine. Show me some gameplay.

It appears they copied first Halo 3 teaser basically shot for shot.

It doesn't look like C&C, it looks more like another bought and bastardized EA franchise. Just look at the line at the end of the video: "First Person : Squad Control : Epic Sci-Fi" I think they should add "Sellout"

I think I must have been the only one that liked the first C&C FPS. Well, thats probably not true because I played online with others. But it was one of the first games to use ground troops, vehicle's, and air vehicle's. But since then the Battlefield games have taken over. So I see this as more of a futuristic, sci/fi version of the BF games, and less 'real'.

I may check it out when it comes out.
