Video introduces the new Smash Bros. Brawl fighters

With the slow information leak coming out of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, we fear that the effect may have been something akin to Chinese water torture for the staff. A few of us (who shall remain unnamed) have taken to cosplaying different characters from the game, either by wearing elaborate character costumes, or, in some of the more desperate cases, just shouting their names repeatedly.

The worst part is that some of our now mentally unstable staff can't even remember what fighters are in the game anymore. We're sure that we've seen a Wu-Tang Clan costume or two, and at least one of our staff has taken to dressing as Chun Li. Thankfully, GameTrailers has put together this video profiling some of the new fighters from the game to help us keep them straight. It pulled us back from the edge, we hope it does the same for you.

I love GameTrailers. I can't wait for their next retrospective. Hopefully they have one for Metal Gear Solid. Or Mario.

Sakura in Brawl you say? I must admit. I'm burned out on SSBB by this point but a Sakura addition would fucking rule. Only one problem, she has to lead with two steps....

I wouldn't mind playing Kid Icarus on the Virtual Console. Perhaps it would help me play Pit better in Brawl ;).

Yeah, video games back in the day were hard as hell.

Try Startropics out if you like throwing your controller across the room while screaming curse words.

Yeah, I've noticed the older games were a lot harder, thanks to the virtual console. But unless they come out with a new game, I'll never know much about the character I plan on trying out almost as much as I use Sheik.

Yeah it is only part one. They missed:

Ike, Meta Knight, King DeeDeeDee, Captain Olimar, Diddy Kong, Zero Suit Samus, Pokemon Trainer and Lucas.

On another ntoe, I am super excited for Olimar too! A few months ago I told people I bet he would be in it, and... he is! Pikmin 1 was such a good game, and 2 was sooo much better! I want a Pikmin DS and a Pikmin 3 for Wii..!

I just really really hope that nobody decides to post all sorts of spoilers as to the hidden stuff when the Japanese version comes out in 2 weeks...

At least there's a new Advance Wars on Monday to tide me over for the extra 4 weeks.

Oh, c'mon. Don't be so naïve. This is the Internet. You know someone out there has a JP Wii and will get the JP version at launch, and reveal all secrets online. And it'll spread like wild fire across the blogs.

My advice: Avoid the Internet until March 9th (or later if you live in a PAL country).

Or have a modded Wii that can play JapNTSC/PAL imports... Cheaper than importing a whole Wii from Japan, and more practical as you can play US/Jap/Euro games with one machine.
But I wouldn't post any spoilers... if I had one.

please. everything will be revealed everywhere was soon as the game drops in Japan. you better keep and eye out for (and hope someone is kind enough to mark it so) for the SPOILERS tag on anything Brawl related post January 31st.

ill actually be looking forward to the spoilers actually, i want to know who all the unlockable characters are. i mean its a fighting game, i dont want to be surprised in that. now spoil the plot of an RPG or Adventure game or something and "ill cut ur lips off and kiss my ass with them shits"

Does anyone else have a problem loading GameTrailers videos? At home, at work, where ever, they rarely load. Sometimes I'll get 25% of the video, or 50, or like right now, about 10%. If I refresh the page, it will reload the video, but I can't get it to load the whole thing most of the time. Maybe it's just because it's on Joystiq and probably a few other sites and getting so many views that it's clogging their internet tubes...
