Quick question: Has Joystiq reported on the new delay (not new even in real life terms anymore)?
Grog @ Jan 18th 2008 11:52PM

Alan @ Jan 18th 2008 11:44PM
I love it. I'm getting $10 for free.
Grog @ Jan 18th 2008 11:45PM
Same here!
I have to say, this makes me like Walmart a little more. Of course, I still hate them. But the loathing has been briefly dimmed.
The1 @ Jan 19th 2008 9:14AM
I am getting 10 bucks for the Haze error.
jack shaftoe @ Jan 19th 2008 11:02AM
Me three.
Victor @ Jan 19th 2008 12:01AM
Got mine >:] muahaha
Now lets see what to spend it on... suggestions?
SoulBlade @ Jan 19th 2008 12:36AM
Brawl.
Xanto @ Jan 19th 2008 6:08AM
Chips and a soda
playwhutyalike @ Jan 19th 2008 8:18AM
Crab shampoo (if you have crabs). Or crab salad.
Kendall B @ Jan 19th 2008 12:10AM
Yeah, considering this had a snowball's chance in hell of the price being true in the first place, it was really cool of them to give this out to us.
I had already written the whole thing off. It's a rather unexpected surprise, for sure.
Kewlrats @ Jan 19th 2008 12:14AM
F'yeah!
So now I can get Smash Bros for 39.99 instead of 49.99!
:)

now if they could only treat their associates with the same respect as their consumers
SIDENOTE: is there a way to change the password to something you like to leave comments?
hvnlysoldr @ Jan 19th 2008 12:34AM
Click your name on this comment. Login using your current password. And then change your password.
Secre @ Jan 19th 2008 12:39AM
I had a hard time figuring this out, too. Check your email for the password that it gives you, then click your name in a comment. When at your post history screen, click the "Are you mark? If So, Login Here." link. Enter the password from your email, and change the settings. Badda-bing, badda-boom, you're done.

I received this too late and had pre-ordered Brawl from Circuit City who gave a $10 gift card with it. Wondering if it's worth it and how the $10 gift card will work out. I'm not sure if it charged me though it was a gift.
Secre @ Jan 19th 2008 12:40AM
It charged me for the gift card, but gave me ten dollars off Brawl.
hvnlysoldr @ Jan 19th 2008 12:50AM
Yeah I wonder what's the deal with that.
Neil @ Jan 19th 2008 12:39AM
It's not just Brawl.....I ordered Haze for the PS3 which was 29.99 and then sent me an email telling me they're going to give me a $10 gift card to make up for the price mix up.
tmacairjordan87 @ Jan 19th 2008 12:54AM
this is nice. I wish JJ Abrams would give me my $8.50 back for watching the shitfest that was cloverfield...HORRIBLE movie.
vidGuy @ Jan 19th 2008 10:30AM
Question: do you enjoy LOST or any of Abrams's work? Cloverfield just looks like such a cool take on the whole Godzilla story. I'm not about to drop $9 at the theater for it, but I'm looking forward to the DVD release.
Jevanzz @ Jan 19th 2008 10:32AM
$8.50? Dang, that's cheap! Us Brits, we gotta pay £7 ($14) for an adult ticket!!
ThornedVenom @ Jan 19th 2008 1:28AM
Should I kill this post's comment section by relating the $10 gift card Wal-mart indemnisation to Xbox Live's free arcade game?
Whoops.
Markusdragon @ Jan 19th 2008 9:08AM
Both are worth considerably more than what their respective receivers are entitled to.
Chase @ Jan 19th 2008 1:36AM
I recommend picking up the 8 dollar packet of Bridgeford Teriyaki beef jerky. It is edible sex.
hvnlysoldr @ Jan 19th 2008 1:39AM
I figured you'd go for the breast milk kit.
vidGuy @ Jan 19th 2008 1:59AM
I got mine, though I'm not sure if I'm really going to spend it. I guess getting $10 for free is better than nothing, but I still hate the corporation and would rather spend my money anywhere else but Walmart. The only reason I "purchased" Brawl at that price was to save money as I screwed over the damn place.
xstompx @ Jan 19th 2008 5:03AM
*wishes he had actually thought to do it*
jynxycat @ Jan 19th 2008 10:24AM
Wonder what immigrant's wages these gift cards are coming out of ?
Fernando Rocker @ Jan 19th 2008 10:57AM
If you guys haven't preorder SBB yet, you can o it in Circuit City... they are offering a $10 gift card too.
Today im going to preorder Devil May Cry 4 Special edition, but I don;t know where... Circuit City to get a $10 gift card too or GameStop to receive an artbook.
mattclarkie @ Jan 19th 2008 10:59AM
Didn't the price error occur to loads of games on several platforms.
Did they only cancel brawl, or are only brawl purchasers getting this, because it seems unfair for people if they had other orders cancelled to not get the same offer.
Can someone clarify this for me.
Grog @ Jan 19th 2008 11:09AM
They gave it to other people as well. I think the reason why they wrote about Brawl is because Brawl was so much more popular than every other game listed that they got a lot more tips on it.
Jim @ Jan 19th 2008 12:22PM
They cancelled already confirmed orders?
This is the first time I really feel a class-action lawsuit actually would make sense...?
umm....hello??? @ Jan 19th 2008 2:10PM
ummm....yeah, that part is OLD news. Not to mention WalMart's online pricing policies that are posted for everyone to see in case of pricing errors. The gift card is icing on the cake for consumers, and good luck with the lawsuit...let us know how far you get before the lawyers laugh you out of their office.
Geist @ Jan 19th 2008 12:55PM
Jesus I keep reminding myself to preorder this, then forgetting. Damn my lazy ass.
umm....hello??? @ Jan 19th 2008 2:08PM
I'm getting $10 gift card for BurnoutParadise (Brawl and Haze were already undergoing website changes so I couldn't order those)...
Monge161 @ Jan 20th 2008 4:21PM
19.82????????
blueblur @ Jan 20th 2008 6:52PM
to bad i cant get in on this
