Considering the glut of game of the year distinctions – best game fueled by Dew, for example – Microsoft figured one more wouldn't hurt and so, without further ado, we introduce the Xbox Live Arcade Awards! There's no fancy panels or sponsored awards here, it's all powered by the sweat of the people. Want to affect change in the well-appointed corner offices of corporate America? Let them know what XBLA games stood out in 2007!
Though they say voting doesn't begin until 5am Joystiq Time tomorrow morning, we didn't have any trouble making our voices heard in categories like "Best Competitive Multiplayer Game" (Carcassone!) and "Best Original Game" (Pac-Man CE!) right now. You've only got until next Wednesday when they'll cut off access to the polls, tally our feedback and announce a winner at the Game Developers Conference next month. How does that sound, tovarish?

Read the announcement and you would have the answer before getting pissy.
If you don't play them anyway, what do you care? Aren't you the tough guy who said you were trading in your 360 on a PS3 anyway? Yeah - that was you: "now Micro$oft pulls this shit im srry but im tradein in my 360 and my games and buyin a ps3 go to hell bill gates" Yeah.

I can comfortably say that you deserve none of them, ChiTownRuler23.

If you don't play any of them, why would you care about the free one?

So you traded in your 360 and all your games because you weren't happy with it, and purchase a PS3. Then, somebody buys you ANOTHER 360 for your birthday, and you keep it?
Who the hell would buy you another 360, knowing you already had one, and traded it in because you weren't happy with it?

Probably his parents, because they obviously don't love him enough to know what he likes.

I like how Microsoft focuses on the community aspect of gaming by offering stuff like voting and stuff like that. It's one of the reasons why I feel that XBL is worth the money.

Kind of like the 'Everybody Votes' channel on the wii. Except you know, people care about this on XBL. And it's more pertinent to us as gamers than say -
'Do you prefer cats (blue answer) or dogs (red answer)?'

Kinda off topic, but what does everybody think about the 2007 arcade lineup. I'm curious, and have about 4000 points from Chrictmas burning a hole in my pocket.

Tough choices between Carcassonne, Band of Bugs, Catan, Puzzle Quest, TMNT, and Pac Man Champ. Everyone of these brought something to the proverbial table this year. Carcassonne is astounding, and so is Catan. Both offer a more (and I am loathe to say it) casual and adult environment. Puzzle Quest is also similar in its sensebilities. TMNT was and is still one of the best arcade multiplayer quarter crunchers and the true Pac Man sequel is outstanding in fun and challenge. Band of Bugs has such heart to it. You can see Ninja Bee loves its titles and the expansions have been great. What a tough bunch of choices!

I think MS should fix their broken Live! service that decided to deny me access to all of my saved games when I took my gamertag to a friends place and then brought it back. I don't really care anymore what features or crap MS offers on Live!, as I can't really justify purchasing anything if their DRM is going to screw up and lock me out of my saved games. If MS and their call centers don't start being more helpful, then they have lost me as a customer. I don't think I'm the only one here that thinks saved games are very very important feature for a successful console. I have a thread on the Xbox forums here: http://forums.xbox.com/18015242/ShowPost.aspx#18015242
and I'm not the only one with this problem. There's another post about it here: http://forums.xbox.com/17067018/ShowPost.aspx and here: http://forums.xbox.com/18049832/ShowPost.aspx#18049832 .

My XBLA game of the year went to Bomberman Live, I had thousands of rounds played online and it was so addictive. The only frustrating part was that I could not convince some friends to buy it because they didnt believe me when I told them it was the most addictive XBLA game yet.
