We hope you've cleared the rest of your 2008, because the epic story of post-cyberpocalypse Neo New York in the wake of the great B-Ball purge of 2041 threatens to own the entirety of your existence for some time. We can't wait to find out the true nature of the chaos dunk and discover what the press release calls "a cavalcade of easter eggs, ranging from the mysterious to the unique." Hopefully by the time we're done finding them all, we'll be nearing the release of the implied second chapter of "the Hoopz Barkley SaGa." Hit the download link and check out the below trailer while you join us in waiting with bated breath.

The gameplay actually isn't as lame as you'd expect. There's a LOT of text, but encounters are not random (enemies appear on the field map), and once you get to the combat, it's pretty solid.
Magic and items are self-explanatory, but standard attacks are a little bit different. You choose the attack option, then each key corresponds to a different attack (some hit multiple enemies, some are more powerful and less accurate, etc). Each attack also makes use of some sort of timed button-press to determine the power/accuracy.
All in all, even without the awesome humor it stands alone as a decent RPG.

I think Charles Barkely and the rest of the TNT crew, are the best sports analysts on TV. They are actually enjoyable. I know that's not saying much, but it's still a compliment.

I can't stop laughing at this game. I hope they show this game on Inside The NBA on Thursday.
