I knew some how, some time, the ps3 would be converted into a MGS pda. Imagine an MGS theme complete with the same sounds the MGS pda makes? How about a MGS skin for the ps3 as well? Gunshots when you turn the console on/off??!?

Very first thing I did was figure out how to turn off the damn clicking. Computer UIs should be seen and not heard. Audio is for multimedia only.

Wow. Clearly someone who's never studied cognitive psychology. Some sort of audio cue in interfaces is almost universally featured in devices. Trying using something like the iPod Touch or iPhone's keyboard without having it click each time you hit a key. An audible "click" or some other sound provides the user with feedback, letting them know they've done something. Turn it off if you want, bash it if you want, but understand that people in general would have a lot more trouble using devices without any form of audio feedback.

That clicking noise has been something you can turn off for a long time now. It's in the audio setting on the PS3. It even has listed turn off beeps. It's sounds like a clicking but they put it as beeps I think.

Pretty sure not. You see, that is played before you login, and themes are only applied for each account on your system. Therefore, a theme could not change system defaults, I think.

You're right, the opening theme/logo is embedded in the firmware.

Awesome... now, someone, make a program so that the Mac can create themes as well. I know that you all fear our grotesquely superior design skills, but it's no reason to keep us down, or force us to fire up windows in order to simply create a set of icons, now with sounds.

Don't hate, cohabitate.

Would be cool if you could give it a bunch of random guitar strum sounds and it does a random one each time. :)

Would be very "Every Day Shooter" ish...

was also hoping this would allow for custom guitar clicks,or i can make 8 different themes and each one instead of clickin makes the noise when u pick up a point in Everyday Shooter. CHARLY since i cant make a gazillion clicks on one theme, i will just make 8 and apply each theme accordingly to my mood.

I have tried this program, and managed to get 12 different wallpapers loaded in so that each time I power up my PS3, it randomly selects one. However, I tried putting custom sounds in and the theme-maker program only accepts .VAG files, which I've never heard of (none of my sound programs can convert to this format.) Does anyone know anything about this?
