Why can't nintendo let go of a 10 year old game? Oh, that's right... it's the only good game they plan on putting on VC for the next 12 months.

would the music and effects have not been enhanced at all? "just" a graphic bump and online play?

If we can get people to sign enough signatures on that petition from a few weeks back, I think we can get this game to be available on XBLA. Think about it. The Zune wasn't sold in other countries, and people wanted it to be, and eventually, there was a petition made. A wek later, at CES, Microsoft anounced Zune owuld ship to Canada in the Spring. Why not this XBLA game??

This looks like the N64 version running in 16:9.. which the original actually supported. Fire up the old game and check for yourself. I can't believe they supported widescreen back then.. infact, a few Rareware games on N64 did.

this looks like a speed run on an emulator to me

It's either an emulator or a mod for an existing PC game. I say that because the faces of the soldiers/scientists look nothing like in the original game. Even if they updated the graphics I think they'd at least keep the same faces. As I recall all the faces in the original game were the developers at Rare, and I think Rare would keep them in there.

The SUPPOSED XBLA version kinda made me feel a bit sick. And whoever said it had updated graphics must've been lying because it didn't have much, if any updates.

to the ppl saying it's obviously JUST an emulator, the doors are a clear indicator this isn't just an emulator... whether or not it's real is up for debate but it is not just an n64 emulator, look up goldeneye silo on youtube and compare the doors and the graphics

ALSO the rumor goes that the graphics weren't going to be updated (just smoothed over a bit like in the video)

Had you read the comments before posting you'd have learned that emulators like Project64 support user-created high-resolution texture packs which replace original textures.

Isn't it interesting it looks......THE SAME.

Nostalgia is a harsh mistress.

I guess the only boon is online play.

If they did re-do it for 360, it was definitely a much more "faithful" version than many Live Arcade remakes

Doesn't mean its fake, but their "proof" could've easily been shopped in, and those moves through the Kyrgyzstan silo were nothing that couldn't have been done in the original

A poor attempt at "proof" of its existence, if that was the video's purpose

Wow, hearing the opening music of this vids brings back a lot of great memories... People say who would play this even it is out dated, but look at all those remakes for XBLA, like contra and turtles in time they are all remakes and people seem to enjoyed them even in today standards...

I don't believe it.

As in believing that the video is fake, not that there was actual footage confirming that GoldenEye XBLA was in development.

The saving content message seems misplaced. This is the kind of regulations that Microsoft doesn't take lightly. It's very rare, even for a game in devellopement, to misplace this message.
