When a demo for Bizarre Creation's The Clubwas released only in Europe and Australia, we were understandably testy. But then, we had a revelation: That's what it's like every day in countries that aren't America. We were so moved that we bought a red-white-and-blue T-shirt and six of Miller High Life to celebrate our appreciation for our homeland. Now, our patience has been rewarded, with the demo finally hitting Xbox Live.
If you need more encouragement to check it out, you should know that Tycho from Penny Arcade said nice things about it, which is good enough for us. Typically, the guys use their power to steer you towards the finer things, (unlike our power, used only to win fights in the comments section). But will you be joining The Club? Let us know below.
so are you high or just an idiot? a shooter is a shooter, whether it be first person or third and frankly i prefer not having the back of someone's head blocking my view
Crackdown, Gears of War, Naruto Rise of a Ninja (only good platformer on the 360), Mass Effect, Forza, and Viva Pinata. I list those because they're the only ones I own currently on the 360 that aren't FPS and are exclusive to the 360. I love shooters... mmmmmmmm. Wish I could play Shadowrun, Vegas, Gears, COD4, or The Orange Box today. But I have to take a make-up final exam and I gotta study.
Although I admit that there's some decent effort behind the preview of this demo, like texturing and very slight cinematic motion blurs, many parts have been built lazily and therefore the game itself looks ugly.
The interface is bland, the font is inappropriate, the sound effects are limited, and animation is minimal, and I can go on forever...
You guys don't seem to realize that when you really think about it, how many variations on game types are there? There is the FPS, then the TPS, then there are rpg's, 1st person and third person rpg's, top down isometric, etc etc. Ok, I did have a point, then owned myself in making it. Ok, how about this one, first person survival horror/rpg. I think that would be Fallout 3, but I am not sure.
Just played it and i actually love it its not just like every third person shooter its fast paced and fun i already beat all the insainty missions bring on real mode.
This demo is fantastic and it tempts me very much to pick the game up. I would...but I'm already getting Devil May Cry 4, Lost Odyseey, No More Heroes and Brawl so I think I'm good on purchases but it's number one on my GameFly queue.
The idea of mixing the ideas of Tony Hawk (finding the right line to maximize combo while giving style points for doing dramatic moves) with simple but excellent controlling shooting is addicting and a joy to play.

Naxe, the truth is, Xbox 360 owns, FPS or not. Apparently, all those people buying Xbox 360's like FPS games. Xbox 360 is the hardcore gamer's choice.

Looks pretty good, but then again it also looks like every other third-person run and gun out there.
