Remember how a bunch of you promised that you'd buy Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros Treasure as soon as it hit the bargain bin (sub-$20)? Well, we remember, so you better not go back on your word ... Now that the adventure game has been marked down to around $29 at most retailers, if you've received one of those $10 gift cards Wal-Mart gave out to apologize for its Brawl preorder mess, you can use the $10 to order Zack & Wiki online for only $19.82!
Who could have expected that a blundered Super Smash Bros. Brawl reservation would lead to you buying a cheap copy of Zack & Wiki? Masahiro Sakurai works in mysterious ways!

It really is a great game. I'm saddened that so few people got to play it.

Been working through it lately. This is an awesome game. The puzzles are tricky but never unfair, which is more than I can say for some adventure games. Even the characters are deeper than one might expect at first. Music's surprisingly great too.

Unfortunately the Amazon, Walt-mart, Best Buy, ToysRus and none other dont sends to Brazil.
The game here still costs the same R$ 160,00 ~ 180,00 (~US$ 95) - the same price for Mario Galaxy, Metroid 3, No More Heroes, Red Steel (kinda funny....).
Only Play-asia sends to here, but the price there is awfull.
It's a bit cruel to read those kinds of posts, like drop-prices and game-debuts. =/

Picked it up yesterday, simply amazing, even better than I had thought. I'm waiting for a similar price drop on NMH after I heard that it's only a ten-twelve hour game, I figure my money will be better spent on the similar lengthed Killer 7, and that'd be fa great way to get even more excited about NMH.

When I was picking up No More Heroes today I noticed it sitting on the bottom of the shelf at the new price.
I was debating getting it but I just bough No More Heroes today, Advance Wars yesterday...and still haven't gotten around to beating Mario Galaxy.
So I'll be picking it up at a later date I guess.

I bought it the day it was released and have used some of my spare time to slowly work through it. I'm glad I got it.

I am a regular reader of Joystiq and respect the opinions of the contributors, so when they recommend a game as rabidly as they did Zack + Wiki, I take their advice. Sure, the concept is cute and the execution is inventive, but the game just isn't any good. Once I got past the first few levels I got tired of the "Odel Down Under" style of point-and-click gameplay, and trying to figure out exactly what the designers wanted me to do in the seemingly interactive levels became downright irritating.
I felt like I was taking crazy pills, since everyone else worshiped the thing, so I gave it to my friend to play on his wii. We are both long-time nintendophiles and fans of quirky games, and we both agreed that, after 2 or 3 hours, the game is about as fun a telephone tag. If you ask me, the bargain bin is exactly where Zack + Wiki belongs.

This game...meh.
It's receiving the same sort of internet-hype Psychonauts got. I know they're two different types of games, but I felt kinda burned when Psychonauts didn't live up the hype.

I bought both when they came out. I loved Psychonauts to death hype or not (at the time I didn't have a computer so I didn't even know the hype train was rolling). I bought this because of the hype (not because I was trying to send a message to Capcom or any goofy stuff like that) and I have to say that I was disappointed. I did like the game, but it the whole monkey island comparisons seemed to be based on point&click, the monkey, the pirates; it completely lacked any interesting/clever story which was obviously what made monkey island, day of the tentacle, etc. great...

ah, I just blew my $10 on Endless Ocean. Oh well, guess Zack will have to wait. I don't think the wife would appreciate me buying 3 games within a week...hehe

Soooo how much is Capcom paying for these ads?
But seriously, it's a good game. Not as amazing as NWF thinks it is, but still quite good, and a decent value for $20-30.
