I'm too lazy to read that... but i want to get my $0.02 in...

Trauma Center is a good game... other than that i've never picked up an Atlus Title i loved... liked mabey... loved no...

But Atlus remains one of my favorite devs for the DS/Wii :-P since Nintendo is the only other decent one.

"I'd say more, but I've been told there's some graphics on level 3 that need tightening up."

They definitely seem to have a great sense of humor.

I'd love to see them or Nippon Ichi handle the port of that one strat RPG released a while ago on PS3. It had the whole dating sim aspect and the generational bloodlines. Wish I could remember the name. If they could just cut out the creepy seductive imagery, that'd be great.

Were you thinking of COMPILE HEART? I don't remember any blood in that, but I only played the demo.

That would be Record of Agarest War and it's not by NIS, it's by Idea Factory.

I know it's done by Idea Factory. But Nippon Ichi has been bringing several Idea Factory games stateside for a while now. That's why I mentioned them.

losttoys, don't ever change.

Because you asked for it, I shall never change.

This is what happens when you try to remember the name of a Japanese game, and the only English you can remember is the damned publisher: Compile Heart.

Seem like a good bunch of guys with a business plan that'll keep the libraries of all the consoles more varied. Which can only be a good thing.

"the Wii version, being more recent, affords the player support for 16:9 and progressive scan"

I don't understand why these features are not included in the PS2 version as well. As far as I know the PS2 has no trouble with wide screen resolution or progressive scan. Star Ocean 3 comes to mind as a game that had both features, and it was released years ago.

If I am not mistaken the Wii and PS2 are both limited at the maximum 480p resolution. I don't get why they wouldn't give the PS2 the higher resolution support.

i feel bad bringing this up, that is to say, i feel that this will be taken as partisan fanboyism or historic revisionism or just plain ironic, but the ps2 was the weakest last-next gen system that didn't end in -reamcast. look at any multi-platform title. ToS, extra features aside, and RE4, Metal Arms, the list goes on.

god help me if i don't play more ps2 now than wii, though, because of atlus. also, i love my dreamcast so much that i don't think anything could get me to unplug it.

Well, Clay's a good friend of mine. His sense of humor is always evident. Whether it's good... well, I still have horrific memories of when he told me about his suggested character for the City of Heroes mythos. A marine biologist that, due to a freak accident, got his DNA mixed with a dugong and gained super powers. I'd say the name, but it gave me PTSD and I can't repeat it. I'm sure he'll chime in with it soon enough.

Personally, I prefer his "Oh, The Humanatee" character. I still laugh myself silly on the inside over that.

You know a dugong is another name for a manatee, right?

You should have talked to them about how notoriously hard it is to find copies of their older releases. They should really do something like make their backcatalogue available for purchase from their website. That way they could keep a limited stock and still be able to make money from these really desirable older titles. I'm not going to pay $120 on ebay for a used copy of nocturne!

Atlus is the prime example of where the better Wii 3rd party support will continue to come from. They won't get the epic stuff, but Atlus and its ilk are on board with neat things that won't be found anywhere else

Atlus is definitely one of those looked over companies that I really appreciate. Sounds like they have a good sense of humor too. That damn level 3 always seems to need some more work though.
