Toy chainsaw + Nerf gun + time = DIY Gears of War gun

We're not sure if it came to him in a vision or if he was visited by an angel, but when forum-goer Forsaken_angel24 played Gears of War, he paused the game and told the Dom to his Marcus that he was going to build a Lancer, the game's memorable assault rifle slash chainsaw.

That's right about where we imagine his friend politely excused himself and phoned the local police, but even that couldn't stop Forsaken_angel24 from following through with his dream: he combined a Nerf gun with a toy chainsaw and copious amounts of free time to create a believable enough copy of the Lancer. How believable? The chain on the chainsaw actually moves, the lights actually light up, and it shoots totally realistic Nerf bullets. Still curious, peep the video after the break. I hate when all the people who think something is a "waste of time" and "sad" get to post first because it immediately takes the wind out of the sails of these stories.

No one is calling you pathetic for being the first poster on a video game blog site.

It's the same for those people who freak out when someone says they think a fictional character from a game is hot. People just need to relax and enjoy the world around them.

This guy has a hobby, just the same as model building or putting together puzzles... or PLAYING VIDEO GAMES.

In any case, good job man it looks awesome, and I'm not even a big Gears guy.

Thats a great job, but whoever is producing the Halo laser tag guns need to make something thats actually cool... Like this. They need to make a scale Lancer and produce it for the masses...

This guy's something of a legend in the nerf-mod/nerf-war community. He's known for his elaborate and innovative mods. He includes extensive how-tos on the Nerfhaven boards for those so inclined.

Not accurate enough. He should rewire it so that every time the thing is bumped, the chainsaw shuts off. I'm pretty sure he can also fire while chainsawing. Tisk-tisk.

Actually in that picture the chainsaw isn't connected yet, it's just the two things he's about to connect, but the perspective of the picture makes it look like the chainsaw is connected, and backwards. Gotta learn to click the link before you summarize the whole thing.
