Got mine, I love it. I heard a rumor that you can unlock Dante for some hack and slash fun, anyone care to comment on that one?

I thought Dante was a playable character at one point, kind of like Master Chief and the Arbiter?

Well Dante will be playable for about 40% of the game, with four basic fighting styles Trickster, Royal Guard, Gunslinger and Sword Master, which can be switched at will. :)

Downloaded this morning in 20 minutes. Tried it out, and I'll be picking it up.

Personally, I prefer Ninja Gaiden, but this is definately fun.

Demo is awesome. I was really hoping you'd get to do a boss fight, and you do. Game looks great, runs beautifully. It took me a while to get used to the controls (using RB for lock-ons as opposed to RT seemed a bit unusual and you use every face button), but once I understood some of the movesets (particularly how to throw enemies in the air again) it was great. Throwing them up, shooting at them, ripping them back down with your demon arm extension... it was great.

Was really surprised by the loading, they've definitely optimized the hell out of it. I know it's on the HDD, but even considering that it's just instantaneous. If the full version is even remotely near that, wow.

Looking forward to it.

you raise a curious question in the loading time on the HDD as in the PS3 version it is mandatory to load it onto the HDD.

Since demos are loaded onto the HDD does that make them faster than their retail version? Shouldn't we have the right to install the full game like the PS3 HDD can, to reduce load time as well?

Thought the game Looked awesome. Will have to play it a few time to get the controls down but they make sense. The boss battle was too easy, the baddy just kinda walked around at times and didn't even take note that I was there. I killed him by shooting him in the a$$ several times...lol.

LOL, Itagaki said about the same exact things when he played DMC4.

Ninja Gaiden is truly superior to DMC in every way.

I'll be checking this out, but I won't expect a challenge like Ninja Gaiden. I'm still playing Black afterall, haha.

Should be neat though it doesn't seem to start out as ridiculously hard as DMC3.

Mine downloaded in like twenty minutes. I thought the 360 controller would be weirder than it is (seeing as how I've been playing these games on the PS2 for so long) but it seems to work swimmingly.

I'm a silver member so I have to wait until Jan 31. For newcomers to the series, the control scheme is fairly unique. If you haven't played God of War or Heavenly Sword, then you'll suffer on that learning curve. Give it a week or so and you'll perform air combos in your sleep.

By the way, I held out on buying a 360 until I knew 2 things:

1) The Falcon motherboards were in stores, and
2) DMC4 was on the Xbox 360. Seriously, that sealed the deal for me.

F.Y.I - Devil May Cry (2001) was the first action game that allowed you to shoot, slice, and punch/kick your opponent within 2 seconds. It still amazes me.

Ryan, This is why I'm getting a PS3. I don't believe in paying for Multiplayer period. Also, making silver members wait to download a demo. Come on M$... Yes, M$.

LIVE FREE OR DIE

die meaning jump ship to PS3.

this is my first time playing a DMC game and I have to say I an utterly nonplussed. what's the big deal? Ninja Gaiden looked as good as this on the original xbox, and played heads and tails better. I'll wait for NGII. This is a terrible disappointment given the hype.

downloaded both ps3 and 360 versions,

have to admit the difference is massive, ps3 is dull and juddery whilst 360 is bright, detailed and smooth..

i thought it was supposed to be the same,
I guess multiplatform games will always be better on 360
