PSN Thursday: PixelJunk Monsters with a touch of Devil May Cry 4

Just grabbed them both, looking forward to it.

I click on my name, and no login box appears, on the 'no profile found' text WHY OH WHY????


I never understood the point of pixel Junk, so this is my chance to see what its all about.

This is the first PSN game that makes me wish I had a PS3. Desktop defense was good times. Shoot... this may be the first game ever that interested me in the PS3...

When I see games like PixelJunk Monsters (which looks choice) go for the same price as a fifteen year old SNES game on the VC, it makes me hate my Wii even more.

I will definetly be picking up monsters.

I dont get the whole pixel junk naming convention either. At first I didnt even know what it was because of the name. But now They could call it whatever they want and I guess all I care about is that its a tower defense game that also works with psp remote play!

Played the Japanese Monsters demo and was hooked. Definite buy.

This is the first PSN game I've really wanted and that's because there is no other Tower Defense game on XBLA. Microsoft, have you heard of a little flash game called Desktop Tower Defense?

I downloaded the Club.

Well the graphics are good, the concept is sort of like a mix between man hunt and the fight club (A game that I never played and a movie that I consider crap) in a good way.

The Combat system reminds me of Crackdown except you can jump stupidly high or do anything cool, there are special moves but they are quite lame.

If you like shooters and I mean a lot then “The club” should be something worth checking out. In my opinion I’m tired of shooters, don’t get me wrong shooting stuff is still great but every 2007 mayor title was a shooter. I can forgive Bioshock, The orange box and the darkness because the story in each game is so full of win that I don’t mind but after Halo 3 in Legendary and recently Call of duty 4 in Veteran I’m pretty much sick of them to the point that searching flags in Assassins’ creed is suddenly appealing.

So what I’m trying to say is that the club is not bad but it seems is only for aficionados of shooting games otherwise you'll feel somehow alienated of the fun.

THE NEW GUITAR HERO DLC WAS ADDED AFTER THE OTHER STUFF. PLEASE MAKE THE CORRECTION. JUST CHECKED AND THEY ARE THERE NOW!

I really love Pixeljunk Monsters. Just beat the easy levels. Why are the icons different in that pic? While... time to find out how much The Club really sucks (just installed).

So I should check this Monster's game out? A lot of you seem pretty high on the game. I don't know anything about it so hadn't really even considered purchasing the game.

Another reason I love my PS3/PSP. Just turned on my PS3 via remote play. Downloaded Pixeljunk Monsters. And now I'm wishing I had remembered to charge the damn battery.
The game plays great it's slow enough the minor lag isn't even an issue.
