We say, let bygones be bygones. GTA IV is dated – the delays are finished (fingers crossed). But for those who simply must know: "It's really no surprise to anybody that the PS3 was definitely a contributing factor to [the delay]," Rockstar's Jeronimo Barrera tells MTV. No surprise indeed.
The finger pointing began last August when Take-Two cited "technical challenges" as the reason for the considerable delay, which was quickly interpreted to mean: Sony's big, black box. But Take-Two and Rockstar have stuck to the "it's not 'helpful or beneficial' to go into specifics" excuse, until now. Rockstar is openly chatting about the delay because the challenges are "not an issue anymore" – both versions are now "neck and neck" in their development phases. "They're both identical," Barrera concludes. So there! They'll cross the finish line together, as equals (oh, 'cept for those bonus episodes).

Copa, you are talking about the proprietary system DX10 right? haha.

GTA was made for the P.C originally .... Didnt care much for Playstation until it came out for the PS2 .... I loved it, Vice city and san andreas...
GTA is made for Playstation, Xbox might have the rights but GTA made playstation what it is now. and theres no questioning that. So when push comes to shove the PS3 with dualshock3 will own xbox market. But I guess we gotta wait to find out ... :-)

guys lets be honest here: if they blamed delays on xbox cause its too slow or doesnt have enough space to hold all that information then that would have crushed xbox sales. i really doubt the problem lay with the ps3, as they all can handle a small installation... ha!

Fernando Rocker, Comparing the PS3 to the 360 is a bit like comparing a cassette player to an Apple iPod.When the 360 is swithced on it sounds like a Boeing-737 perparing for takeoff, assuming that you're lucky enough your 360 hasn't been plagued by the three rings of death, now the GTA IV issue.
Rockstar may not have officially confirmed that the 360 version will be on multiple disks, but from all speculations, it looks like it will be on multiple disks. For starters, Rockstar asked MS if it was possible to make the game on HD-DVD. Why HD-DVD? Because HD-DVD holds about 15/30 gb. DVD-9 only holds about 9 gb. Blu-ray holds 25 gb (single layer). So, you can see why Rockstar will have to go multiple disks. Second, one of the reason for the delay is that Rockstar might be trying to cram everything into one disk. Seems unlikely.
Here's a few key points for you regarding the PS3:
The PS3 version should look better because it has the better hardware. You can't make a realistic GTA IV on an Atari 2600.
The PS3's Blu-ray can hold up to 50 gb on a dual layer disk, so Rockstar can put more into on the disk without any sacrifice.
The PS3 has the cell processor which is supposed to be able to handle enemy behaviour different based on their spatial relation to the character. Characters that are far away will be treated as a group, and characters that are up close will be treated individually, so you should see the little things that separates it from the 360 version.
Oh, as an end note "speculation is already circulating that the PS3 will bet receiving additional gameply content for early 2009"
