Definitely. I'm a long time TM fan (a decade plus now?) and the $20 entrance fee is more than worth it. It may look like an old PS2 game but that shouldn't stop anyone.

I see they added some RPG elements like how much damage you did with each hit. Hmmm thats kinda odd haha.

That's ummm, not new. Those are the damage score rounds. I believe introduced way back on the second. I know it was in TMB and it's the most popular scoring method in TMB:O and TM:HO. Essentially it does this, removes the "kill" advantage cheap Kill Thieves live off of. Mainly because, unless you are a pro, you whittle down cars rather than kill them as fast as in something like Quake. Damage scoring tallies your wins not by the number of opponents you kill, but how much damage you dole out. Really rewards the agreesive players.

If the gameplay is as tight and fun as TM II, than I'd buy this regardless of price. Looks good so far.

Yes, most definitely worth it! I've been waiting for a new TM game for awhile, I guess for now I'll have to go with this one. But I want my PS3 Twisted Metal still!

DAMNIT JAFFE! Now you've gone and made me buy the same game three times. First on Playstation, then PSP, and now PS2. Oh well, can't complain at the price (but having a PSN version for PS3 would be shit hot.

I would have rather seen a game developed for PS3 and in HD. They should have done what the Wipeout HD team is doing for the PS Network. I can't wait for the new Wipeout and 60 fps in HD. Imagine the hype about a Twisted Metal download and if it included online!

Jaffe said that if you collect all the collectibles in the game, you'll get a hint as to what his next game will be. I wonder what it could be...

"Too little too late" for me... say, how does Full Auto fair against the Twisted Metal series?

Just asking: I'm a Mario Karts kid, addicted to Battle mode.

Incomparable. For one, Full Auto 2 doesn't support 4 player split. Which is why TMB is still our goto Vehicle Manslaughter game.

well, think of it this way

-The MK karts were to be modified by the A Team
-The location was to be all of mushroom kingdom (and that's almost the size of just one map, and yes, I have gotten lost so many times)
-They don't have shells or any "cute" thing like that, its if they had gone to the most "getto" place and stolen all their arsenal (altho I don't know where you could get Sweet Tooth's robot, but then again, Miami is full of surprises *shrug*)
-The pace is like..mmmm...SSB but on crack

its also allot different, as FA is primarily a racing game, while TM is more comparable to a shooter, in that racing is not a factor.
full auto has some pretty awesome "go through a building" moments though.

I keep getting the about text in a Flash debug pop-up, this swf is broken... Are others seeing this? If not it might be because im using the debug version of the Flash player, but even so, its still broken :(

I love Twisted Metal. TM2 remains for me the iconic, best one of the series for me, but I can't wait for this.

My thoughts are prtty similar: Very PS2, and the interface is looking a bit stale now. Also, the series seems to keep drearier each time I see it. Not darker, just drearier. I'm hoping there's a few more levels like TM2, where it's daylight or just a bit more colourful. But yeh, can't wait.

This game is well worth the $20 it cost. I'll definitely be picking it up.
