I was at TRU doing my Christmas shopping and I saw so many moms buying up so many Wii shovelware titles on the cheap it was rediculous. NO LIE! Anyway I doubt that the numbers will be like that again...seriously people!

But it is nice that software is selling.
The majority of Wii owners are under 10. I know peeps in here will disagree with that but its true. The Wii is a kid system targeted at kids with kid games. Which is why Nintendo allows all this shovelware to be dev on it. On the cheap too. Nintendo shovelware buying moms know little Timmy wont know the difference, they dont give a crap...its a new game with shiny shrinkwrap and waggle FTW =) In their eyes of course.

The attach rates on games for the 360 is higher because of the large library - not because of one title. My personal library of 360 games is much larger than my Wii and PS3 libraries.
I imagine that is partially because of the amount of games on the 360 vs the others, the lack of good titles to buy on the Wii (Many, NOT ALL, are shovelware), the lack of exclusive PS3 titles beyond a couple, the head start the 360 had in our house as well as others, and the fact that once I began building a 360 library it seemed to make sense to keep buying for it as multiplatform games were released.
In my house the 360 attach rate will stay much higher than that for the other systems I would think. That head start that the 360 had really makes a huge difference in houses with more than 1 console. In my house at least.

I have all three systems, and the Wii has more worthwhile games for my time than the PS3 does. Plus it costs a lot less.

The Wii has a lot of games that maybe "hardcore" gamers don't care about but guess what there are billions of people who enjoy games just for the sake of fun and the Wii is all they need to have fun.
You can't just dismiss the list of games that were listed because they're not all FPS or they're not Final Fantasy some other famous RPG that sony fanboys are obsessed with.
Bottom line is that unlike the ps3 the Wii has games for everyone and is selling well both in terms of software and hardware. And that just drives you sony fanboys insane.
Dont try and make that list longer than it should be. These are the only worthwile games worthy of purchasing on the Wii for the overall mass consumer.

Now, I do share the common view of microsoft corp. is an evil p.o.s., but who here doesn't feel that way? Even die hard 360 owners hate the corporation.
Zelda was boring to me, Metroid did nothing for me, mario olympics, Mario strykers, fire emblem? please. Warioware was trash, Wiiplay was trash. I enjoyed the trauma center games for two hours, but they got boring. Resident Evil was great, but it was a retread from the GC. I didn't need to buy a Wii for that. The only games for the Wii that I can legit call great is Wiisports and Mario Galaxy. Naturally the Madden and CoD games are going to be good because they're a good series, but the Wii has very little to do with why they're great. All they had to do was not screw them up and they'd be considered great. Oh I also enjoyed rayman as a party game, but beyond that it doesn't offer much. Cooking Mama was also good for a few hours, but a monkey could ace that game.
I like to be challenged by my games and Wiisports sold the promise of a challange different from anything to come before it. So far NO OTHER GAME has even attempted to meet that challenge, much less surpass it. Nintendo scammed everyone with their "graphics isn't everything" nonsense and has failed to follow up on it. Hell now they're even cranking out games that admittedly are better played with a traditional gamepad and some of you are lapping it up. Happy to have paid $250 for a new console and a bunch of mediocre, unchallenging games so you can play something that could have been done just as well on a $99 GC or simply to jerk off to their "classic charcters".

I get all my 360 exclusives and all my multiplats for it. Oh yeah Fernando does own a 360, hes actually on my friends list..cool guy =)
I do enjoy alot of PS3 exclusives though like Resistance, Uncharted DF, Motorstorm, Warhawk, waiting for Haze, Killszone 2, Resistance 2, LBP, Home, better online =)
As for the Wii...
I like own SMG, Metroid P, gonna buy Zelda and Im waiting for MarioKart ;)
