While I haven't had a guitar break on me, I do know that skate is a really good game.

Apparently, having to wait 3 1/2 weeks for a replacement drum pedal doesn't warrant a free game.
Thanks, EA!
Stuart @ Jan 29th 2008 12:20AM
Neither does not buying the game. shit.
Eggman @ Jan 29th 2008 12:37AM
Same for me, except instead of 3 and a half weeks, make it 5 weeks.
Will @ Jan 29th 2008 1:21PM
Yeah, me too. I'm on week five. I thought "the Rock Band team is committed to providing a world-class customer experience"? Isn't anything over three weeks "an unacceptably long delay"? So where are our free games, EA?
Gavin @ Jan 29th 2008 12:33AM
Sent my guitar off to be fixed today.
Hope they send me the free game offer when they receive it.
GreyFox @ Jan 29th 2008 3:39AM
I'm getting my new guitar and USB hub in the mail in about a week or two so I too hope they extend this offer to me.
Deck @ Jan 29th 2008 12:36AM
Well at least Skate is a good game. As far as Skateboarding games go anyway. Its innovative and something fresh compared to all the damn Tony Hawk's.

Nice photo shop. EA isn't that evil... I think.
Brad Bittner @ Jan 29th 2008 12:53AM
I requested a replacement on 12/2 last year, got a box and had it shipped by 12/7... Never got an offer for a free game... Had to call them twice to see what was going on, turns out somebody cancelled my order ticket. I finally talked a manager into giving me $15 from the online store, and didn't get my guitar until 1/24/08... Nearly 7 weeks later.
Ugh.
wei @ Jan 29th 2008 12:57AM
i'm still waiting for my copy of nhl 08.. it's irrelevant since my 360 red-ringed again 2 weeks ago.. damnit
ebeezy @ Jan 30th 2008 3:05AM
Wow. There was some mistake with my guitar and I sent a pretty irritated post on the Rockband support. I was going on 4 weeks without my guitar. My new guitar finally came and it apparently was a one way shipment. I emailed them back to ask them what's up and they said I could keep my broken guitar as well.
maverick_saturn_626 @ Jan 29th 2008 4:48AM
Free game? In my dreams, lol
Cian @ Jan 29th 2008 10:48AM
It's a load of crap that I waited a month for my replacement guitar and wasn't offered a free game.
NATO_Duke @ Jan 29th 2008 11:35AM
We got a replacement guitar within 2-3 weeks of sending the first request, so I thought it was a pretty fast process. Wonder how some people have been left waiting so long.
UberBeth @ Jan 29th 2008 12:48PM
I received my free (Simpsons) game from EA a few weeks back, not long after sending back all my broken peripherals.
DWells55 @ Jan 29th 2008 12:36PM
Am I the only person who read the first line of that letter and assumed it was addressed to Fernando?
bobartig @ Jan 29th 2008 1:35PM
The last time I was down at EA campus, I picked up Skate for a friend. I really should have picked up a copy for myself, but I was on the crack or something, and didn't.
My drum pedal doesn't *seem* like its going to break any time soon, and we're playing 5-7th tier songs on hard, which make ample use of it. Here's hoping it holds out if the replacement times are 3+ weeks these days.
My guitar replacement was extremely fast, under a week, so no freebie for me.
Pat @ Jan 29th 2008 4:39PM
I've had 3 broken guitars. I still haven't gotten my replacement, been 4 weeks. No free game offer. Not even an apology.
