New GRAW 2 DLC offers new maps, missions, weapons
For those of you still grooving on GRAW 2, grab a buddy and download today's 800 point ($10) "Co-op Collection," a DLC package for Xbox 360 featuring nine new maps (seven inspired from preview Ghost Recon games, two all new) and five co-op campaign missions that pick up where GRAW 2 left off.If you're too cheap to even consider getting in on the action (feel free to leave your usual diatribe about why additional maps and modes should be on the retail disc in the comments), then Ubisoft has something just for you: a totally freetastic "more guns pack" that locks and loads seven new gats into the single player quick mission mode. Be honest, are you going to drop the points or hold out for a potential future pricedrop that may or may not ever happen? ... Yeah, us too.

I guess thats not a bad deal but I don't even know the last time I even played GRAW2.

This game is a little old to be asking me to pay for more maps.

Maybe Halo can learn a lesson from this.
9 maps. 5 co-op campaign missions. for 10 dollars.
3 maps for 10 dollars.
And I don't even like GRAW.

I think if developers want to make the most out of releasing content, they should release it before their population moves onto a new game.
This is just a personal opinion and might not be true, but it makes sense to me that you should release content at the height of your games popularity to KEEP the players. It seems like it would be harder to draw the players BACK with content than it would be to hold on to them preemptively (before they move onto COD4).

Yup.
Or it should be free. Then no one cares when you release it. =P Releasing free stuff for a game late into its life is useful for making people remember it when the sequel comes around.

SO that means that there will never be a need for DLC for COD4 cause no game will ever be as good as it....EVAR

GRAW 2 for the PC...Didn't like it that much. But at least its a way better deal the Halo 3 map pack!
Still, I wish COD4 would kill all of these $10 downloads by coming out with free map/gun packs.

"inspired from preview Ghost Recon games"
"inspired from previous Ghost Recon games"
... editing the editor. Not trying to be a grammar Nazi, just trying to help. :)

This game, along with the first GRAW, was a paradox for me. Almost none of my friends bought the game, even though I considered it to be one of the best co-op titles on the planet. I'd sometimes join random folks hosting public co-op matches on Live, but often the connection was laggadelic. My friends love the co-op modes on R6V, Halo 3, etc., and yet for some reason would never pick up GRAW 1 or 2. Did anyone else have this problem?
No?
Just me?
Okay...

I've had the same problem. I do love me some RB6 co-op, but I miss the tactics involved in games with longer sight ranges like GRAW. Even if some of my friends have the game, getting them to play it was too much of a chore. And any time I get more than 6 people in a game everyone gets booted (Which looks kinda awesome from my perspective because as soon as the game starts I see everyone fall over dead like they all took cyanide pills).
More co-op is good, but honestly, what I need are some friends who don't play WoW. Nothing makes a friend more unreliable and unavailable than a WoW addiction.

@ Gimbal:
LOL...I had forgotten about the "player left game" theatrics of watching people fall over dead for no reason. :-)
I love Vegas myself, but like you, I thought it was more fun to strategize with roughly 6 people on how we were going to tackle big objectives over a much larger worldmap. Who knows? Maybe I'll pick up a cheap used copy of GRAW2 just for kicks, and then I'll try to talk my friends into it as well. If you want to, feel free to add me...my gamertag is the same as my username displayed here.

Love the Game, But R U Serious.... A tad bit late to the Party I see.
Well if this was for COD4 then it would be a Definite purchase!
Viridium @ Jan 30th 2008 9:07AM
Way too late to pay for any content for this game. I'll wait for a pricedrop - and if one never comes, I'll never be getting this content.

Ubi needs to learn what the meaning of "capitalizing" is and although this is a good game they needed to release this about 6 months ago if not sooner than that IMO.

sorry, too bust playing CoD4 ;)
