Finally! BTW: If this actually works good, then this brings consoles that much closer to actually being gaming computers! Nothing wrong with that... as long as it works.

Looking at the XBox 360 version on youtube, the mouse sensitivity looks pretty low. A couple of vids I saw the guy had to scroll pretty far to look in the direction he wanted..

It looks good but I bet it will be slower mouse movement then you would expect. It seems movement speed would be limited to hwo fast it moves with a controller. Even if that is the case I bet its pretty cool.

I bought an edge fx by splitfish from a game store on sale for 14 dollars. it's the ps2 model instead of the frag fx ps3 model but I just used an adaptor. It uses a laser mouse for the right analog stick and has buttons on the left side for your thumb that matches the o, x, square, and triangle button. It lets me jump while turning on games like ut3. on a normal stick you have to let go of the right analog to hit the x but I don't. Also it lets you adjust the sensitivity on the fly with either the dial on the on the left hand control or by squeezing the focus button above the L1, the harder you squeeze the slower the crosshairs move.

The PS3 already has keyboard and mouse support for UT3

thats nice and all, but the PS3 already has built in keyboard and mouse support. So this just makes it so all games not made with it in mind actually allow it, meh.

Great for FPS games, but not so great in other games that use the analog functions of the controller, i. e. the throttle shoulder-buttons

This ruins the FPS controller experience for every1 else as if most people bought it then the people who couldn't afford it wouldn't stand a chance against the keyboard and mouse persons

waaaah mbulance....its a pretty mediocre peripheral that last time i checked suffered from low sensitivity so it's nothing really special..theres the fragfx for the cheaper alternative and something called skill for gamepad users (?).

I have something called the Smart Joy Frag for the PS2 which is an adapter for a mouse and keyboard. I tried it out with Killzone back then, but it didn't really better my score. One of the main reasons was the lack of acceleration for the mouse movement. You could adjust the sensitivity, but that doesn't help if you want to move a large distance quickly - i.e. a turn about, if you want to. However, this thing was kinda cheap (I don't remember how much, but probably around $25-$30), so I just picked it up without trying it out.

At $100, I don't even think this XPFS thing is worth it, given the problems mentioned above for the SmartJoy Frag are likely to be present in this XPFS adapter also.

Anyway, with the PS3, I've grown a whole lot better at FPSing using the controller (at least in Resistance). And as someone mentioned, UT3 supports mouse and keyboard directly, so it's all good!
