In fact the marketing is the reason why so many Halo haters like you suddenly pop-up.
If CoD4 had same marketing campaign as Halo 3 did, everybody would hate it too.

In fact am I the only person who notices visible flaws of this game such as USELESS Prestige Mode and scripts to name a few.

And one final thing.Fans are a rather unloyal bunch and while I'm certain people will still play Halo when Xbox 720 comes out, I'm not sure how many people will stick to CoD when R6V2 or GoW2 will come out.

you aren't alone. COD4 is a good game, but it is extremely shallow. Most of its "innovations" are things that Rainbow six did better over a year ago.

The only thing it really has to differentiate itself is the level system...whihc RB62 has adopted.

COD4 is living proof that people will deal with repetitive gameplay as long as it is pretty enough.

No, I think you have an incorrect 'cause/effect' relationship in your statement - marketing isn't what brought out the haters, it was the disappointment many of us felt in the game of Halo. I won't go into that. But on the other hand, CoD4 has generally been considered as a game that 'delivered,' marketing or not. And as for me being a 'Halo hater,' you can bank on the fact that I didn't just 'suddenly pop-up,' I've never enjoyed that game as much as others have. But I can respect it. It's the indisputable online champ and Bungie has created a great system of stats and tracking that people really like. I've played through Halo2 and 3 on Heroic. But the story is so weak, the writing of nearly each and every piece of dialog soooo bad and clichéd. It's laughable sometimes. Embarrassingly so. It's just not for me.

And another thing: CoD4's 'Prestige' mode is only as 'Useless' as say, playing Halo on 'Legendary' after finishing it on 'Heroic' mode - people do it because they like the game. It's not a 'flaw.' It's not 'useless'; there is a graphic indication that you have purposefully given up your high status to get back in the trenches and build it up again. It's like turning on all the skulls in Halo - you do it for bragging rights.

YOU think it's useless because you don't like CoD4 as much as Halo so you pick it as an arguing point, but it's not really that deep.

You need to accept that not everyone is flawed if they don't like Halo as much as you do.

Yea that would be sweet but I think Halo3 wouldve looked even better on UE3. For example on UT3 for PS3, the graphics are beautiful and I think Halo3/UT3 have more similar styles that Halo3/COD4 and that would have looked really sweet had it used that engine.
