Japanese DS title teaches you how to dress
Do you wake up in the morning and say to yourself, "Boy, I have all these fabulous clothes, but I don't know how to wear them in an ensemble?" Perhaps you'll need to import a Japanese DS title that teaches you how to dress properly. We're still not exactly sure what the name of game is, but we reckon our trusty comment crew translation squad can help. The game features 200 recorded lectures on dressing yourself and includes a 3D model to dress up and coordinate properly. We doubt this game will make it out of Japan, but it's good to know that if we ever get desperate enough there's a game out there to help us -- or we'll just take notes watching Carson Kressley on Queer Eye reruns.

Ahh, thats a popular title indeed, called "Happy Fun Time Dress Me Perfect"
Ineed.... warrents "DOES NOT WANT"
But seriously, real men don't care, gay men allready know... this further proves that the pro-metrosexual agenda of the bush administration is corrupting our chilren...
but yeah, none of the above should be belive but the DOES NOT WANT...
paragraph @ Jan 30th 2008 10:36AM
Additionally (and sorry for the double post) i'm interested in where you take this "getting dressed" tag
Wink wink, nudge nudge...
Fox318 @ Jan 30th 2008 12:34PM
Think of the chilren!!!
Saria the Cat @ Jan 30th 2008 1:02PM
Hey, you have to give the "real men" of Japan credit for actually trying to look good. Japan's on a self-help craze with video games as a platform, but how can Americans really judge when all our self-help are books are written by people like Lawrence Cooper?
And the title says "Coordinate," but I can't make out the kanji.
Saria the Cat @ Jan 30th 2008 1:03PM
Er, Cooper Lawrence. Each name sounds equally manly so I keep mixing their order up.
Jeff Smith @ Jan 30th 2008 1:43PM
you win!
. . . O wait , that probably really is the actual name.
Jerk Face @ Jan 30th 2008 10:38AM
The Japanese are into weird shit. How convoluted is it to use your DS to tell you what to wear instead of, you know, learning what to wear?

I predict this game will debut at the top of the charts with 872,034,012 copies sold in the span of two hours.
Shagittarius @ Jan 30th 2008 10:48AM
Why do I think most of the advice is going to be, look as much like a girl as possible and carry an impossibly large sword?
jsn @ Jan 30th 2008 11:12AM
Shag: If those options don't make up 50% of the game, I have my doubts that it came from japan..
Dustin @ Jan 30th 2008 10:41AM
Jeeeezus.
Now, I bet people don't even consider this sort of thing to be wierd in Japan, but if it was launched in the states, it would probably make mainstream news.
They have Yoga instructors on DS, cook books galore, tons of crazy things American's are so convinced we don't need. Makes me wonder if we DO?
Shagittarius @ Jan 30th 2008 10:46AM
Don't get strung out by the way that I look,
Don't judge a book by its cover
I'm not much of a man by the light of day,
But by night I'm one hell of a lover
I'm just a Sweet Transvestite from Transexual, Transylvania.
Ignatius @ Jan 30th 2008 10:47AM
Soon, the Japanese DS games will include a range of varying self-help and how-to cartridges, including, how to raise your child, how to have sex, how to drive, self-psychology, self-sociology, self-diagnosis of medical problems...
When will the madness end?
FOXHOUND @ Jan 30th 2008 10:51AM
Those "___ for Dummies" books should really hop on this bandwagon and make the quick cash.
FOXHOUND @ Jan 30th 2008 10:50AM
This obviously isn't the first or last of this kind of 'gaming', so again I ask... how much is a game like this really worth at retail?
Since this is assumably for business formal & business casual wear, I doubt I'm going to find the necessary help I need in sagging my jeans enough to show off the also necessary plumber's crack to fix a broken sink. Which is sad, considering the mascot of Nintendo and all...
...thank heaven he's got overalls.
LiK @ Jan 30th 2008 11:46AM
schoolgirl uniforms included?
Deck @ Jan 30th 2008 12:16PM
Wow...so... worthless! :-p
NattyBumppo @ Jan 30th 2008 1:51PM
The title is pronounced like so: "Sensu o migake! Mita me kara yomigaeru - Otona no konashi toreeningu."
A translation might go something like this: "Cultivate your style! Give new life to the way you look - Dressing Training for Adults."
You guys really need a Japanese-English translator on staff.
Srayer @ Jan 30th 2008 2:29PM
Wow, and I thought the current trend of naming games "TITLE: SUBTITLE" was silly. I can't wait for the day when all I see on the shelf are games with names of the form "COMMAND! GOAL OF GAME - TITLE."
"See the universe! Find the stars and rescue your special one - Mario Galaxy."
JRM @ Jan 30th 2008 4:43PM
Once again, the fanboys forget the demographics of DS players in Japan. There is a tremendous amount of adult, male, working people, who use their DS on a regular basis. Waay more than in the US. It makes perfect sense that a game like this could find a market in Japan--particularly the big cities. The Japanese are very much into fashion. Their department stores are 8+ story fortresses of high priced designer clothes. It's definitely not the 2 floor JC Penneys that you find in the US malls. The Japanese are odd. They'd happily buy an $80 fashion accessory even if it's so small that nobody can see it. Therefore, a game like this is a no-brainer.
For America? Forget it! but you never know...there's definitely people out there that would certainly need some fashion tips. Particularly, my old highschool teachers.
Calviin @ Jan 30th 2008 6:33PM
Let's see one that teaches ladies how to undress...

ugg.tryptophan @ Jan 30th 2008 11:00PM
i can imagine the gameplay already "match festive tie with salmon shirt" (LVL UP!)
ThornedVenom @ Jan 31st 2008 2:51AM
I'm not going to judge anyone's preferences.
But damn, imagine how hilarious it'd be to look back at it 10 years later, and mock at the clothing trends.
Azul @ Feb 5th 2008 10:05PM
The world will end when my DS picks out my clothes. I know my fashion sense sucks, but I doubt the Elementary Schoolers I teach will be critical of it.
