Point your pupils at Bully: Scholarship Edition trailer
If you skipped 2006's PlayStation 2 debut of Bully, you missed out on a lot more than a nostalgic video game trip through your long-forgotten school daze. All the drama and legal flailing surrounding the release would have you believe that Bully: Scholarship Edition is the definitive version of Rockstar's homo-erotic, teacher killing sim.
It's nothing like that, actually. The true nature of the game, which involves disease-ridden lunch ladies and epic wedgies, can be gleaned from the trailer embedded after the break. Let us know if it's convinced you to enroll in class on March 4th (March 7th in the UK).

I clicked on the link for "Homoerotic" hoping for a list of posts with that tag. =(
Oh Joystiq, why do you fail me so?
Saxon @ Jan 30th 2008 7:55PM
Man, I hope that was the Wii version cause that looked like crap.

:\
He're hoping it was the PS2 version... and it's all recycled...
How differnt is this than the original? Not much right?
Saxon @ Jan 30th 2008 8:04PM
Well if you play the HD version it looks a little better; they obviously put some time into cleaning up the textures but the models are still from the PS2. The principal has GTA3 Hands.
Mr Khan @ Jan 30th 2008 9:06PM
Eh, same thing happened with PSU for 360
I wouldn't particularly mind, the extra definition does wonders in some cases

In Mario's voice (I'm talking about the CDI games): Eh No
Not even “Lots of spaghetti” could make me buy this game.
Mighty Shockwave @ Jan 30th 2008 9:04PM

I'm so excited this is coming to the 360. My ps2 broke a few days before this game came out, so I never got to play it. Same with Okami... :-(

Their ears are like mutant attachments that have viciously assaulted their heads.
Toothpick Guy @ Jan 30th 2008 8:18PM
Wedgies.
I mean, seriously?
KurtM @ Jan 30th 2008 8:26PM
i hope they arent going to charge full price for a dated game. Like RE4 for wii. This title should be 29.99 right?
EMOruffino @ Jan 30th 2008 8:30PM
the only reason i havnt played this yet is because i sold my PS2, bring it to 360 and im already sold...
colin @ Jan 30th 2008 9:39PM

I'm picking this up when it comes out. I passed on the PS2 version assuming it would be remade, or I would come back to it when it was in the discount bin.
dsub @ Jan 31st 2008 12:05AM
First of all, the game isn't full price on 360. I believe it's either $39.99 or $49.99. Second of all, the gameplay looks rather fun, that to me that's been more important lately. I went back and played The Godfather for 360 recently and actually thought it was a very underrated game. Once you got past the graphics it was really good. I'm thinking Bully will be the same way. I don't have a (working) PS2 anymore so I never got to play this, and I really am looking forward to playing it on 360.
It amazes me how much some people get turned off to games just because they are from last gen and ported to a new system. I understand that you paid lots of money for your Next Gen console, but in doing so, alot of us skipped on the final year of great games on the PS2. What did you expect? That Bully: Scholarship Edition would come out looking like GTA:IV? Are some of you that ignorant when it comes to this stuff?
Crazy Vincent @ Jan 31st 2008 12:14AM
Is it anything like Willy Beamish? 'Cause that game was awesome.
Juice @ Jan 31st 2008 10:20AM
Willy Beamish was sweet!!! Sierra owned pc gaming back then.
jynxycat @ Jan 31st 2008 11:09AM
Not at all.
Ps. Go back and play that game, it's not as fun as you remember :P
REUYL @ Jan 31st 2008 1:28AM
This game was so underrated as a fun and hilarious action-adventure. I just hope Rockstar's added enough content to warrant the new price tag when the PS2 version only costs $20 or so.
ThornedVenom @ Jan 31st 2008 4:58AM
I dunno why, but watching the trailer does make me want to play it now. O_o
Ibere @ Jan 31st 2008 7:36AM
I have the PS2 version. It's an incredible games, one of the best for the PS2, IMO. If you like the GTA series, it is a must buy.
ted @ Jan 31st 2008 8:08AM
Sigh.... this isn't coming to PC? I would buy it off Steam in a heartbeat :(
Gangsta Smurf @ Jan 31st 2008 9:25AM
Here's to the inevitable Bully 2: Virginia Tech
... Too soon?
Cyro @ Jan 31st 2008 10:21AM
