Duke Nukem Forever art director interviewed
Though obviously lacking in details regarding the perpetually in-development Duke Nukem Forever, we can't say we're eagerly awaiting every drop of information (this isn't Brawl, after all). Still, we'll give props to Down in Front, who managed to corner the game's art director, Tramell "T-Ray" Isaac, for an interview.
What have we learned? Nothing of great consequence. The unsurprisingly underwhelming teaser trailer was all captured from the in-game engine using Fraps, and the game's storyline takes place in the near future, in Las Vegas. Information regarding release dates, or even general assurances that development in moving along nicely, are notably absent. Like we're surprised.

Man, hes badass, they better not make a movie, the only person that looks like Duke is Arnold, and hes, urm busy.
Prof_Chaos @ Jan 31st 2008 11:04AM
Better not take place in the TOO near future, or by the time it releases it could take place in the distant past.
xFenixKnightx @ Jan 31st 2008 11:07AM
Duke Nukem Roid-Rage confirmed for PS3 & 360.
-Wii getting extra content for not being able to process the HD veins popping out of his neck.
Crono (NDF - Knight of the Old School) @ Jan 31st 2008 11:09AM
You know, if DNF ever does come out, the entire internet will explode from all the crow being eaten. The title that DEFINED "vaporware" will no longer be vaporware.

But on a serious note, DN > Your Life, i want equal coverage with this as we had for Brawl... Super Smash Bros. is good... but not Duke Nukem good... I want to know when a programmer so much as sneezes on this one... fair is fair :-P
Intentless @ Jan 31st 2008 11:18AM

Nathan @ Jan 31st 2008 5:30PM
I thought up that one and used it on joystiq before. Sorry. I probably wasn't the first either.
JodyAnthony (death by snoo-snoo) @ Jan 31st 2008 11:40AM

xFenixKnightx @ Jan 31st 2008 11:42AM
ZOMG, no lie I thought the same shit haha!
Greg2k @ Jan 31st 2008 11:46AM
No, you are not
Rishonritter @ Feb 6th 2008 11:29AM
When I see this picture, I see Bruce Willis, haha. Its this ONE frame that looks like it too (minus the muscles anyway). wow...
LOKIOLR @ Jan 31st 2008 11:47AM
I don't know. I think he looks more like Ron Pearlman than Bruce Willis.
doom saber @ Jan 31st 2008 11:56AM
Wasn't it rumored or confirmed that Bruce Willis was going to play Duke Nukem when Duke Nukem was popular?
paragraph @ Jan 31st 2008 12:01PM
Duke Nukem was Popular?
Korova @ Jan 31st 2008 12:07PM
Man DNF is neverending development time is such an internet meme - an cultural institution, if you will, that the license-holder has to drop meaningless news of continuing development just to keep cultural balance intact. I think they do this for fun only - a quick and dirty video here, a bit of bullnews there.
They are running the joke.
Eddie @ Jan 31st 2008 12:17PM
I knew our economy was slowing down, but art director for a game that doesn't exist? I know a McDonald's that's hiring...
NATO_Duke @ Jan 31st 2008 12:19PM
If these guys went to work for McDonalds then the burgers would never get made.
MasterInsan0 @ Jan 31st 2008 1:22PM
At first they'd promise you the best burger you've ever eaten. By the end, they'd merely promise you a burger. It might be good, it might not--they just want to finish the friggin' burger.
doom saber @ Jan 31st 2008 12:38PM
True. 3d Realms would be in limbo in making a burge they would probably use a method of making burgers from one burger joint, but then change it to another.
Squirrel3D @ Jan 31st 2008 7:52PM
At least he look like he wasn't on the juice. You can see the weight lifting set in the background.
Deck @ Jan 31st 2008 4:30PM
Until there is any worthwhile information regarding DNF... I concluded that this game is not in development!
Varone @ Jan 31st 2008 5:02PM
Duke Nuken is '90s
If it does come out, it will sell to parents of children under the age classification regulation, and people buying it out of pure respect for an old classic with a ridiculous developement period.
XGM @ Jan 31st 2008 6:15PM
I think DNF is a huge publicity stunt so they can build up years of hype and deliver something in the end.
ThornedVenom @ Jan 31st 2008 9:51PM
I doubt that the final result would EVER be able to justify that kind of development time.
It'd have to be Chuck-Norris status.
Burnt Meatloaf @ Feb 1st 2008 8:19AM
The game has neither art or direction.
