maybe they shouldn't have spent all that time making spoofs of the office.

It was worth it.

Dang... seems like a lot of games are piling into Holiday 2008.
Here's hoping all these delays pay off and we have a holiday that will rival 2007's!
Deck @ Jan 31st 2008 7:57PM
You really think one could rival 2007 Dustin?
I mean, with the release of COD4, Halo 3, Mass Effect for examples of really high profile releases, it seems almost impossible to re-create the awesomeness that was 2007's holiday game rush!
Now, don't get me wrong, i'd love it to rival '07 again. Though it just seems the likely hood to do so is minimal.
StrangeBum @ Jan 31st 2008 9:05PM
You both act excited. My wallet completely disagrees with the both of you. Holiday 07 was a killer on the bank account.
I mean, I want the games. I want them to release, but maybe more periodically than all at once, save myself some stress over spending too much on games. Plus with the recession...ugghh..oh well. Bring it on, my Best Buy credit card needs to be used more often.

Im just sick of overzealous pubs announcing release dates so far off the mark. Let these games get finished! HEAL THE BABYS!!!
BIGGEN @ Jan 31st 2008 9:30PM
is it overzealous publishers-or-overzealous blog writers jumping on any gaming news just to have something to do? not saying, just asking.....
KeenCommander @ Jan 31st 2008 8:27PM
Our game's not coming out right...quick - sue Epic.

I laffed.
Socha @ Jan 31st 2008 8:31PM
Sigh... remember when we assumed delays was just so games wouldn't have to compete with Halo 3?
AoE @ Feb 1st 2008 8:47PM
Not really, no. I always assumed it was because the game needed more time in the oven... Isn't that what Pandemic have been saying each time there's a delay?
markhill66 @ Jan 31st 2008 8:45PM
From now on, it will be news when a game is not delayed, and releases on it's promised date.

I think Pandemic is just trying to secure the right to have Duke Nukem as an unlockable character.
StrangeBum @ Jan 31st 2008 9:09PM
Lol.
Totally funny. Would be such an odd addition to the game. But I wouldn't mind something like that.
Now if only Megaman was unlockable....
KeenCommander @ Feb 1st 2008 12:51AM
That would actually be cool, much as it would never happen.
mark @ Jan 31st 2008 10:36PM
WTF that game was only going to succedd if it came out before GTAIV with a good gap in between the 2...who really wants to play mercs after playing a new GTA?
Chameleon @ Feb 1st 2008 6:32AM
yeah i was really looking forward to getting this but you make a good point ....
AoE @ Feb 1st 2008 8:51PM
People who want to blow up Venezuela? That GTA IV is coming out isn't going to dissuade me from buying this game. Just because they're both sandbox style worlds doesn't mean the content's the same.
fester @ Feb 1st 2008 12:08AM
I think the heavyweights are all juxtapositioning [gawd, that's a mouthful] around THE BIGGIE-namely GTA 4 for a release slot so as not to tip the buggy. Kinda like everybody cleared the chute for HALO 3 a while ago-a second resurgence, maybe? Kinda lookin that way.

Is it just me or is this franchise in danger of becoming irrelevant? The first was a surprise hit, but only because it came from Lucusarts, a very mid-range publisher. Pandemic was great about getting games out last generation, why has this generation become such a problem?
Erwos @ Feb 1st 2008 6:34AM
In my gut, I know that the PS3 is responsible for this delay. I only wish more devs would come out and be honest about what the delays were for.
PS3 xbox 360 @ Feb 8th 2008 5:31PM
In my gut, I know you're a total moron. It's not the PS3 that caused the delay. It's been finished, but they've been "polishing" the game, and trying to get the new additions to work on the xbox 360. It's Pandemic's fault. Not the PS3.
