Their are no suprises left. Everything has been shown already I feel like ive been playing the game for weeks already.

This new (super news age) is such a turn off. Remember when you read about games in magazines? pick them up at walmart. toys'r'us. kmart. While your parents went shopping you would run to the games to see what's new? the good old days. when games were fun to play and not just a time eater until next weeks release.

It'll outsell Halo easily.

I think it's only competition will be GTA 4, as far as sales numbers go.

I had to sit through approximately four months of HALO 3 THIS and HALO 3 THAT. It even invaded my groceries, TV shows, and football games. If you don't want to see this, move on. I wish I could have avoided the Halo 3 onslaught as easily.

There were at least as many Halo-related news postings surrounding that game's release.

I don't know which will sell more, Halo or Brawl, but they are both games destined to sell millions of copies, so Brawl should be entitled to just as many news postings as Halo.

actually i doubt that smash will have that many sales as galaxy. as much as i like smash it does take a learning curve and remember that the wii sold so much thanks to older people and kids. took me a couple days to actually win a match on the older versions and now with such an akward control sideways wiimote = hell. i doubt many people are gonna buy into the hype.

but then again i could be wrong and they sell enough to circle the globe 14 times.

There's different control schemes from what I understood. You should be able to use your GC controller or the Classic controller. I should be like playing the Cube version except prettier, online play, and a ridiculous amount of options.

This coverage only gets me more excited about the game (and no, it doesn't feel like I've played the game for weeks already, you douche naxe). And if you don't feel like watching or reading about it - then don't. The problem with this game is it's so easy to cover it because there's so much information - it's hard to do that with MGS4, GTAIV, FFXIII - because most of the developers don't want to unload tons of info.

It's got me so pumped I pulled out Melee and had some fun with it.

Brawl is pretty universal in appeal. I'll be surprised if it doesn't surpass Halo 3 eventually. It's got cute characters a fighting system that is pretty easy to grasp but hard to master and an is awesome in multiplayer.

Even my girlfriend and her friends enjoyed SSBM.

It's a fighting game. The genre has seen better days.

Is this the start of that genre making a return? I hope so.

But Halo numbers...eh, I wouldn't bet the house on it.

This isn't just a fighter itself. I know plenty of people that are hardcore fighter players and they love this game but then I know scores more that can't stand fighters but this is a religion for them. It won't be Halo numbers... Not likely anyway... But it will be close if not exceeding Galaxy's sales... I'd be shocked if it didn't...

you went a bit too far, tie or surpass the sales of Halo 3 (7.12 mil), maybe...but go against the sales of GTA? are you delirious? most of the games of the games of the franchise have gone over the 10 mil copies...

how are you expecting SSBB to go above that, when GTA is aimed at a group that is MUCH wider than the one SSBB aims to? not only that, but the game is going multiplatform...which means that one can only expect, based on the sales history of the franchise, that GTA4 will have sales of 17 mil or so...

Once again, I'm not talking as a fanboy, I seriously don't see the appeal of the franchise, but I just don't see the reasoning behind your statement...

If you want me to be perfectly honest, I thought the Halo 3 media saturation was too high as well. I don't own a Wii, but I like the console... I'm just sick of all these announcements.

I'm sure it'll be a good game. I'm sure it'll sell loads. I have no interest in if it sells more than Game X or not. And I'm just tired of hearing about it.

How do you expect that GTA 4 sell more at least 4 million on the PS3? It will need that every PS3 owner in USA buy the game... and that's not gonna happen.

According to Wikipedia, Super Smash Bros. sold around 4.5 million copies, while Melee sold around 6 million. Halo 3 on the other hand has sold over 8 million already, and is still fairly new.

On the other hand, both of the previous Smash Bros. games were on relatively unsuccessful systems, and the introduction of Sonic will help sales thanks to Sega fans. That said, my bet is on Halo 3 for better sales, though it will probably be close.

There simply aren't enough 360s+PS3s for GTA4 to sell 17 million. There were far, far more PS2s in the wild when San Andreas was released. GTA5 or 6 might sell 17 million, but GTA4.

I don't see why Brawl can't put up Halo numbers. I mean Melee did outsell Halo 1.

Brawl may not outsell Halo in America, but Halo 3 barely made a dent in Japan, but Melee however, was the gamecube's only million+ game in Japan. Japan will be the reason why Brawl will probably outsell Halo 3.

Have you heard of this console called the Xbox 360? which also happens to be getting this game and with exclusive episodes, yes yes, that one that you keep bringing to the table when you want to bash the PS3...yes, that one that has sold more than 16mil...

SSBM has sold 6 mil, being the best selling game for the NGC (21.72 mil thus far), but it was THE main reason many bought a NGC for...unlike the situation with GTA:SA and the PS2.

Once again, GTA aims at a group that is MUCH bigger than the one SSBB aims to, not only that, but fighting genre isn't something that appeals that much to the casual gamers, the Wii's widest group.

You can go by the trend Fernando, you can see that the sales of SSB haven't changed THAT much, but if you check GTA, you can see that their sales between each games have increased a lot...


Fernando, once again, GTA isn't a hardcore game, it has that "gettho"/mafia factor that seems to be "cool" right now, and guess what? it catches the media's attention one way or the other....unlike SSBB, that despite having well known characters, is a fighting game (that is enough to scare the casual gamer), many teenagers will find it "childish", and doesn't get as much hype as a GTA game...

Dedede can't copy anything, he can just inhale and shoot them out. From what I remember of the Kirby games, he's never been able to copy abilities, he's always just had a much more powerful inhale and exhale/shoot/whatever than Kirby.

Kirby's inhale ability only copies the opponent's standard special move. Since Kirby won't be able to utilize the other uses of the Pikmin, I'm assuming he will just pluck them out and then automatically throw them.

@chris: Yes, my friend and I went and beat the original Kirby's Adventure for the NES and all he did was use his hammer, and then a stronger version of the inhaling (without the abilities of course)
