the hatch is where Desmond ended up after getting lost while on a sailing race, where he pushed a set of numbers (the same numbers that Hurly won the lottery with) into a computer to save the world. GOD Don't you know anything???

Man, if that's true this show is even more ridiculous than I thought. Apparently they have a Burger King on the island too because it's the only way I can think of that that one guy has remained so big for 90 days.

I don't do the math, but the Pop Up Video version of Lost this week said 91 based on the iteration count of Danielle's recorded message.

OK, 70. Same point stands. Other people have told me 91, so apparently even that's confusing to people.

I've been a fan of this show since day 1. I thought the recap from last night was phenomenal and felt that anyone who had never seen the show could have watched it and been up to speed.

I agree, i just rewatched season 3 on DVD, so I was caught up, but the recap did an excellent job as well.

Now who the hell are the other three people of the famed "Oceanic 6"?

Oceanic 6- Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sun, Jin, Sawyer?

-that guess is playing it kinda "safe", though...

Did anyone watch that Eli whatever show that came on afterwards? It was actually pretty decent.

It's not really confusing at all. It's just a different way of telling a narrative, kind of like the movie, Memento or Pulp Fiction. They just tell you a piece of a large story out of sequence and eventually the who picture will be revealed.
If you just sit back and watch with an open mind and look for clues you'll get it after the first few episodes. The people that don't like it maybe watched an episode or two,not at all or were told the basic premise and weren't attracted to it.
A friend of mine didn't want to watch it just because I was so enthusiastic about it. Eventually, he gave in after I gave him the first disc of Season One, it contains four episodes. He watched it and was hooked.
People nowadays want to be on top of the next hot thing before anyone else but hate admitting that they missed something really cool and almost become anti-*insert new hot thing*. There's no shame in missing something cool it is a shame if you chose not to catch up.
If you like Pulp Fiction, Memento or Heroes you'll like Lost. If you like suspense movies you'll like Lost. If you like twists and cliffhangers you'll like Lost. If you haven't given it a chance you should take time out to see it. Don't be that, "OMG, everybody's watching it so I refuse to" guy. Give Lost a chance it's actually very clever.

Keep your minds open and definitely don't let pride get in your way of enjoying a really good show.

Good post. I totally agree. I have friends that don't watch it but say, "it's stupid and confusing." Duh, if you don't watch it how can you say that?

Giving someone Lost on DVD = giving someone crack cocaine.

Except without all the drug money.

Wait for the show to be over before starting. It'll just confuse and anger you to watch it weekly and deal with huge breaks, no answers, more questions, and short seasons.

160 points is roughly $1.75 an episode. Thats seems pretty expensive considering you cant even keep the file...

actually, television episodes are purchases and not rentals like their movie cousins. so, you technically own 'em as long as your HDD can handle all your downloading.

Ok, so maybe i have been living under a rock for a little while but what exactly is going on in this show called LOST. All i know is that their are a bunch of people on an island that somehow survived a plane crash (I think thats how they got there). Is that right? Is there something preventing them from building a boat or something to escape? Where exactly is this island?

To answer your questions. Yes. Yes. And, exactly!

Now read my previous posts, go to blockbuster/or order from Netflix the first season.

Dustin, dude. Do it man just the first disc of the first season that's all I ask. You're all about pop culture, you'll love it. :)

Ok, lets get a few things straight for people who don't watch the show. A plane crashes on an island. We know that much. After the remaining passengers come together, they realize this is no ordinary island. Pretty much after every episode there is a new unanswered question or problem. Everything on the island comes back to a set of numbers, but you'll have to watch the show for that. And although the events on the show are somewhat cheesy, they become believable after the audience realizes the island has a personality of its own... If you haven't watched the show then for your sake, please do. Its the only hour of TV I watch per week ;)

Not to rain on the parade, but aren't all of these shows on ABC.com for free and in HD?
