We know that advertising isn't always the best way to judge a product (or your own sanity) so we're trying to keep our optimism cautious when we're watching this new trailer from the completely Damon-free The Bourne Conspiracy. We're trying, but it's hard, because what's here, from the gravelly voice of Bourne to the combat, looks really, really cool.
But maybe it's OK to get our hopes up a bit. After all, we liked High Moon's last game Darkwatch, why wouldn't we like this one? Either way, High Moon's going to be at GDC, so hopefully we'll have a better idea of Bourne's skills by the end of February.
I loved the Bourne movies, and the game looks good enough..... I just can't get excited about a game where I puppet a character through a script. Even the fights looked the same as the scenes in the movie.
It just looks too much like 'Press A to view the next scene.' Maybe it's just me.
I was really hoping they'd go more in the books direction like they said. But based on the trailer it looks like they're sticking with the movie's story - minus Matt Damon...
I like the idea of not using Damon, but it looks like they're sticking too close to the movie. Here's hoping that they're just kinda pandering to movie fans with the trailers and the actual game feels more like its own thing.
This game is kind of reminding me of Mission Impossible on the N64, I hope it's better than that game, Uncharted's left me hungry for another movie style game.
i remember my friend had mission impossible for the n64 and he had so much trouble getting through part where you lower yourself through the lasers. He probably tried for a couple of hours a day for 2 weeks. then i asked if i could try. i got it on the second try. then, after he saw me do it with his own eyes, he refused to recognize my accomplishment. that's when i realized that i must share my gaming gift with the world. j/k
That was an awesome trailer I'm looking forward to playing a action game without the intense gore(gow was awesome but im squeemish),and I loved the ssbb gameplay vids that popped up after it

Looks pretty exciting, but I think I'll reserve my judgment until gameplay is shown. Don't want to get my hopes up.

Man, whatever happened to SC:conViction anyway? This looks very similar

How would they ever incorporate the controls?

Agreed. Its like a Bond game without the actual actor that played Bond.

@JAmerican
Here, I fixed it for you:
"It's like a Bond game without _an_ actual actor that played Bond." :-)

I am very skeptical of Joystiq's pseudo-endorsement of a game based off of such a limited video.
Shinagani @ Feb 1st 2008 10:18AM
You mean like Agent Under Fire? That's my second favorite Bond, right behind Goldeneye.

This looks like it's going to be mediocre. I hope I'm wrong.

At least they're going off the movie vibe, instead of the boring-ass books.
