Anyone else see the weird creepy messages on their website?

Hidden in their HTML code:

If anyone should find this message, please get word I'm alive and stranded on an island somewhere in the South Pacific. Please send help soon. Things are bad. And they're getting worse...
Sally

AND

I survived a horrific plane crash and am stranded on an island somewhere Northeast of Australia and Southwest of Hawaii. In the event that I am never found, please forward word of my fate to my parents.

They're hidden by the "we're shutting down announcement"...odd...I saw some text behind it, so I checked the source and thats what I found...creepy? yes...

its Lost viral marketing.
Oceanic is the airlines the lost survivors flew on, more specifically flight 815.

This is a cool way of promoting Lost now that it is on the marketplace.

Crazy Lost marketing and a free theme, say no more!

I don't think there is a contest: the theme details don't have any rules and restrictions like every single other contest download, like the Army Halo 3 contest, that Madden Bowl thing, and the Guitar Hero contest.

There definitely is a contest.

I noticed ads promoting the theme/contest via the Marketplace blade & dashboard.

I downloaded the theme to register, and the bottom of the theme has ABC copyrights and a message thanking you for using the theme and entering the sweepstakes.

I got the same thing, but aren't those rules required to have a contest like this? Seems a little weird. But then again, It's Lost related, so I guess it has to be. :P

It is a viral marketing campaign; flight 815 was the flight that crashed in Lost. JJ Abrams does this stuff all the time. I'm sure you've guys heard of Cloverfield.

This theme would have been much better if they wouldn't have put the "you've been entered in the sweepstakes" crap on the bottom of every blade. It's actually a pretty cool theme. I like the clouds on the guide.

People interested in entering, please note... You have to download not the Lost theme for 150 points, but one called "Oceanic Airlines Free Theme." I found it when browsing the New Arrivals, there is a Lost ad which goes to the lost theme page with three links to theme, picture pack, and episodes. Just wait, and there will be an airplane with the oceanic airlines logo and a "Win an Xbox360 from Oceanic Airlines" text underneath. That is the one to download.

I love these viral stuff. If you go here: http://www.oceanic-air.com/seatingchart.htm and click on the flashing "F" at the bottom next to 11-42, then a seat in the back becomes selectable. It will have a rollover label "Lucia, Ana, 42F". Click it.

Afterwards you can spell "Other Man" from the letters, and something else happens. Did anyone see the "Hanso Foundation" website they built last year?

Another funny little message is hidden:
If you use the flight tracker the info on Flight 572 spells "giveus the boy". I wonder if the mentioned boy and his father survived their journey back? Didn't hear from them for a whole season.

Herobotic, I got my RROD two days ago and did the the towel trick. It works fine now, but I'm still sending it in. Just wrap your 360 in a towel when it's on, let it run for about 25 mins, then take off the towel, turn it off and let it cool for about 15 mins. Turn it on and it should work. It did for me.

The only theme that's up, is the pay theme as of 4:00am Sunday morning. When did it first go up? Guess ABC wants our monies. (I'll pass since I don't pay for advertisements disguised as themes. Free themes FTW.)

Once again only xbx live users is the US are allowed to enter. This is becoming to much of a joke what about the other live users in europe, we pay more for the games, consoles and accessories but always get the bum deal.

Wasn't free for me when I just checked, they were charging 100-150 points. Um, isn't requiring a purchase to enter a contest considered gambling, and thus illegal?
