A world in which we give praise to insane, creepy pedophile Tim Fuckley for his nonsense, contrived comics is a world I want no part of.

It's not a "cliché" format. It's a clichéd format. Cliché is a noun, not a verb. I've seen this mistake made endlessly in the comments along with the use of bias as an adjective.

I am going out on a limb and laughing at RPG-TV this week.

I know its not cool to laugh at maladies, but when I saw the trailer and that guy running for miles and miles ... I was very impressed (as a runner and all that), so this comic plugs into that.

CAD is terrible. I'm amazed that there are pages and pages of comments for each comic he does on his forum that are bubbling with 'lols' or 'LMAO DID YOU SEE LUCAS'S DISTASTE FOR ETHAN?'. It's not just the humor - which borderlines on things found in the writing staff of Family Guy's trash bins, but it's the fact that all of his characters look exactly the same, act the same, and make the same jokes.

It's even more apparent when you look at the character page. What are they supposed to be doing? They all have gaping mouths, but their eyes look bored. Obviously it's irritation, but not really. They look like that all the time in the comic. Even when they're happy they instantly get bored/irritated/gape mouthed in the next panel, and they take 15 paragraphs of 'realistic speech' to get across one joke (I'm sure if someone wanted to get across something in real life, they wouldn't spend an essay to swerve around into something sarcastic. At least, not if they weren't annoying pretentious jerkasses already).

And the whole week-long thing Tim's doing now is kind of interesting, but it's still a failure on many levels. Why did he use a new character? Why did he design all of this for someone we're supposed to have some sort of connection with, even though he's completely out of the blue and overshadowed by schmaltzy poems? Kind of a grabbing for straws situation, right?

I will give him props for keeping a series on the net for so long, and it has improved since it began (for the better, I doubt any of us miss Tim's neck-boob designs) but it's still Penny Arcade's little adopted sister in terms of what it can do and what it's potential is. Even the animated series is awful and devoid of most things that look appealing to anyone. Why would you pay to see a series that can't even get down it's own character's models right? Have you seen those arms? As thick as their heads!

Even if that's not really what matters, the humor is still really not that great, it's the same stuff from the comic (naturally) but it's still said with the same needlessly deadpan, bored expressions, with bored voice acting, and tired storylines. CAD is essentially the epitome of average in any form. I don't see an argument against it. Even if you do direct me to a lot of gems, there are still hundreds of other really bad CAD comics. I guess I don't just see the appeal.

Now, while I didn't really like the joke in Pigs in Space, I enjoyed the art. I voted for Digital Unrest even though the ending panel could have been conveyed a bit better, but it's still something I would have wrote for any of my stuff joke-wise, just because it's kind of lame in a funny way. Oh and just so that doesn't bite me in the butt, CAD would have spent 4 panels of 'realistic speech' to get to that same joke.

Not even the CAD rule could save this Gamer's Life.. thing. I actually had to read a post on a forum before I realized it was supposed to be in verse. This poetry is so hamfisted it's like petting a hamster with a truck.

A bit too melodramatic for my taste. "Countless levels and stages we have conquered" was really a bit much. I'm fairly certain I won't talk to my wife like that ON MY DEATHBED.

to me, CAD is like lolcats: they are the same thing over and over and over and over again, but every now and then, something downright hilarious comes along that you just cant help but laugh uncontrollably. so as far as i am concerned, i enjoy CAD (and lolcats too).
