Burnout Paradise (PS3) own it already. It does have in-game messaging!
Devil May Cry 4 (PS3). Picking it up tomorrow.

I will only pick up DMC4 if they let you customize the button layouts. The default layout in the demo (360 anyway) was super uncomfortable and unintuitive and is kind of a dealbreaker for me.

Whatever though, I've got No More Heroes to keep me busy for at least another week or so...

It is a simple transposition of the button layout of the preceding Devil May Cry games on PS2. It's a Capcom thing. They like unusual control schemes.

did you also notice that you only use about 2 buttons while playing it?

cmon guys, stop buying this stagnating crap. Every dollar spent on DMC4 is telling them "throw another coat of paint on 1 and ship it"

please.. use some sense!

Just a heads-up to everyone who played the Turok demo and concluded that it sucked (which it did) and won't consider the game: it is surprisingly good. I have an advance copy and have been playing through it, and though it's definitely rough around the edges, it's light years beyond what the demo was. If you're itching for a new first person shooter, at the very least, give 'er a rent.

Besides that, I'm looking forward to DMC4.

Is anyone planning on picking up Assassin's Creed for DS?

I was wondering about AC:DS, actually. I just finished the console version last week and I ended up liking it quite a bit. I guess it's time to start asking around (since I don't know whether to trust the reviews on this one.)

Ok so I downloaded the demos of DMC4 AND Turok for both PS3 and 360 to see if there was any diff on both platforms. There really was no diff as far as I could tell and I thought they were ok.

DMC4 was good but IMO its not all that fun. Or is it just me? Also the camera got on my nerves and graphics arent all that impressive either.

I think I'll stick it out and wait for Ninja Gaiden 2 to get my hack n slash combo bloodfest fix.

Guess its back to waiting on a demo and reviews on next months releases of Army of Two and Dark Sector.

PS3 has a minor advantage, mainly with load times (which tend to be three times longer on the 360 version) but the PS3 also has a 30min install. The visuals are also apparently --slightly-- better on the PS3 version.

No I definitely agree, DMC4 is not all that fun. It was fun back in the day but I think a lot of us have grown up and expect a little bit more than a two button game.

Which is why I too am waiting for Ninja Gaiden 2.

Also, I think I'm picking up Culdcept Saga this week or next, I have to wait for my game store to get it in. :#

There's someone impersonating KKK. The real (annoying) one has a space between the words KayRazy and Ken. Someone also is messing with Fernando Rocker... he goes by Tranando, and every time I see one of his posts, I think it's Fernando at first.

Spiderwich Chronicles?

Is that, like, the story of someone's poor lunch decisions?

"I really shouldn't have eaten that spiderwich!"

"We all have regrets!"

"Yes we do, son, yes we do."

DMC 4 for me...loved the demo

The boxart however isn't really good. Both front and back. But hey what really matters is the content on the disc I suppose.

I saw it recieved an 8.7 which kinda scared me but then I realized it was IGN so I ignored it.

I think that whichever is the lead platform for the game, gets their box cover up front. You know, like Burnout did last week (both were designed on the PS3 and ported to the 360).

Well, either that or because the PS3 boxes are slightly smaller so it makes for better design in the pic. However, it drives me crazy when looking at my video game shelf (being the OCD freak that I am) to have those smaller boxes up there...

Did Turok's street date get broken? I bought it three days ago and have seen it in more than one store (Walmart, Best Buy, and Target). CAG forums seem to agree this is a nation-wide release.

If you are dying for Turok, it should be available now.

I am 90% sure "Dance! Online" has been out for months. You know, especially since I installed it months ago to try it out. It's actually not that bad since they have some decent music deals and constant free updates. The bad thing is there's no point in using a DDR pad other than for fun since online you will get pwned by keyboard users.

* Turok

Hmmm, they are renters for sure. I wouldnt say they are AAA at all judging by the demos and some reviews that have been slowly coming out on both. FOR ME, they arent good enough to plunk down $60

I'll buy DMC4 when it's avalible,Turok well I have hear bad things about it but I never played the demo.

There is also Twisted metal for the PS2,is a good game even if its a PSP port.

If Assassin's Creed for the DS lets me jump 50 stories from atop a cathedral into a pile of hay, then hop out to kidney-stab some beggars and drunks, I'm all for it. Nothing like stress relief on the go.

Other than that, Culdcept Saga for sure this week.

Who plays these games? Spiderwich chronicles, wtf? I sometimes wonder if devs think, 'hmm, lets make a game', 'what about?' 'Dunno, we'll just try it out and see what happens, if there is any prat stupid enough to buy, we'll give them a free cookie for their troubles'.
