I will only pick up DMC4 if they let you customize the button layouts. The default layout in the demo (360 anyway) was super uncomfortable and unintuitive and is kind of a dealbreaker for me.
Whatever though, I've got No More Heroes to keep me busy for at least another week or so...
Franssu @ Feb 4th 2008 12:36PM
It is a simple transposition of the button layout of the preceding Devil May Cry games on PS2. It's a Capcom thing. They like unusual control schemes.
deaftly @ Feb 4th 2008 12:45PM
i agree, the controls are just ass backwards (played ps3 demo), im gonna dl it for 360 just to see how that is
jdeuel @ Feb 4th 2008 1:50PM
did you also notice that you only use about 2 buttons while playing it?
cmon guys, stop buying this stagnating crap. Every dollar spent on DMC4 is telling them "throw another coat of paint on 1 and ship it"
please.. use some sense!
Jtenma @ Feb 4th 2008 8:57AM
I personally just have been dying to play some My Horse and Me (pre-ordered it)and cant wait to bust that out on my Wii.
LOL...that is all.
DCBlack @ Feb 4th 2008 12:32PM
Animal pron, coming to your Wii! (pun intended)
Jtenma @ Feb 4th 2008 8:58AM
Burnout rocks!
that guy @ Feb 4th 2008 9:02AM
Just a heads-up to everyone who played the Turok demo and concluded that it sucked (which it did) and won't consider the game: it is surprisingly good. I have an advance copy and have been playing through it, and though it's definitely rough around the edges, it's light years beyond what the demo was. If you're itching for a new first person shooter, at the very least, give 'er a rent.
Besides that, I'm looking forward to DMC4.
Is anyone planning on picking up Assassin's Creed for DS?
baby sea tuna @ Feb 4th 2008 9:19AM
I was wondering about AC:DS, actually. I just finished the console version last week and I ended up liking it quite a bit. I guess it's time to start asking around (since I don't know whether to trust the reviews on this one.)
lord hobo @ Feb 4th 2008 9:02AM
just Sins of a solar empire for me.
Awesome RTS ftw
KayRazyKen Kutaragi @ Feb 4th 2008 9:06AM
Ok so I downloaded the demos of DMC4 AND Turok for both PS3 and 360 to see if there was any diff on both platforms. There really was no diff as far as I could tell and I thought they were ok.
DMC4 was good but IMO its not all that fun. Or is it just me? Also the camera got on my nerves and graphics arent all that impressive either.
I think I'll stick it out and wait for Ninja Gaiden 2 to get my hack n slash combo bloodfest fix.
Guess its back to waiting on a demo and reviews on next months releases of Army of Two and Dark Sector.
Hyams @ Feb 4th 2008 2:31PM
PS3 has a minor advantage, mainly with load times (which tend to be three times longer on the 360 version) but the PS3 also has a 30min install. The visuals are also apparently --slightly-- better on the PS3 version.

Mikeawesome @ Feb 4th 2008 2:50PM
No I definitely agree, DMC4 is not all that fun. It was fun back in the day but I think a lot of us have grown up and expect a little bit more than a two button game.
Which is why I too am waiting for Ninja Gaiden 2.
Also, I think I'm picking up Culdcept Saga this week or next, I have to wait for my game store to get it in. :#
xFenixKnightx @ Feb 4th 2008 9:09AM
Krazy guy?
Is that you? You have a 360? LMAO!! Surprisingly enough...I agree with everything you just said lol ;)
baby sea tuna @ Feb 4th 2008 9:21AM
Me too. Wonder if he got bodysnatched...
Phi Nguyen @ Feb 4th 2008 10:45AM
There's someone impersonating KKK. The real (annoying) one has a space between the words KayRazy and Ken. Someone also is messing with Fernando Rocker... he goes by Tranando, and every time I see one of his posts, I think it's Fernando at first.
Erwos @ Feb 4th 2008 9:17AM
What, no love for Culdcept Saga? It's definitely on the top of my list of the games released this week.
Mikeawesome @ Feb 4th 2008 2:51PM
Same here!
Simon @ Feb 4th 2008 9:18AM
I hope this cover gets changed for PAL - it sucks to be honest
Jerk Face @ Feb 4th 2008 9:29AM
Spiderwich Chronicles?
Is that, like, the story of someone's poor lunch decisions?
"I really shouldn't have eaten that spiderwich!"
"We all have regrets!"
"Yes we do, son, yes we do."
Kevin @ Feb 4th 2008 9:34AM
hurray for typos!

ThornedVenom @ Feb 4th 2008 9:46AM
I wonder if they used Nero to burn the game onto Blu-Ray.
3cubed minus 3squared plus1 @ Feb 4th 2008 9:52AM
Does anyone know whats coming out on the VC today?
KushielsScion007 @ Feb 4th 2008 9:58AM
DMC 4 for me...loved the demo
The boxart however isn't really good. Both front and back. But hey what really matters is the content on the disc I suppose.
I saw it recieved an 8.7 which kinda scared me but then I realized it was IGN so I ignored it.
flameofdoom666 @ Feb 4th 2008 10:04AM
OXM gave it a 7.5
Phi Nguyen @ Feb 4th 2008 10:47AM
Yah, but when's the last time that Capcom had good box art (atleast in America)?
KushielsScion007 @ Feb 4th 2008 11:28AM
7.5? Wow thats kinda harsh...any reason?
tristan miller @ Feb 4th 2008 1:16PM
LMAO!!, that was priceless
their reviews blow!
mark @ Feb 4th 2008 10:09AM
I never understood why the playstation boxart is always up front - can anyone explain this
baby sea tuna @ Feb 4th 2008 10:23AM
I think that whichever is the lead platform for the game, gets their box cover up front. You know, like Burnout did last week (both were designed on the PS3 and ported to the 360).
Well, either that or because the PS3 boxes are slightly smaller so it makes for better design in the pic. However, it drives me crazy when looking at my video game shelf (being the OCD freak that I am) to have those smaller boxes up there...
vidGuy @ Feb 4th 2008 10:12AM
Did Turok's street date get broken? I bought it three days ago and have seen it in more than one store (Walmart, Best Buy, and Target). CAG forums seem to agree this is a nation-wide release.
If you are dying for Turok, it should be available now.
BIGGEN @ Feb 4th 2008 4:38PM
yeah, i saw it at best buy last thursday. didn't buy it, but noticed it. sitting there, angrily, on the shelf, fully stocked, hm.
WiNG @ Feb 4th 2008 10:33AM
I am 90% sure "Dance! Online" has been out for months. You know, especially since I installed it months ago to try it out. It's actually not that bad since they have some decent music deals and constant free updates. The bad thing is there's no point in using a DDR pad other than for fun since online you will get pwned by keyboard users.
umm....hello??? @ Feb 4th 2008 10:47AM
...am thinking about TwistedMetal: HeadOn for my fully bc PS3...other than that I have my hands full with games already...
Todd @ Feb 4th 2008 11:02AM
Quick question. Is either of these games worth the money?
* Devil May Cry 4
* Turok
xFenixKnightx @ Feb 4th 2008 11:28AM
Hmmm, they are renters for sure. I wouldnt say they are AAA at all judging by the demos and some reviews that have been slowly coming out on both. FOR ME, they arent good enough to plunk down $60
Mr.ESC @ Feb 4th 2008 1:48PM
Why don't you wait for the reviews.
I'll buy DMC4 when it's avalible,Turok well I have hear bad things about it but I never played the demo.
There is also Twisted metal for the PS2,is a good game even if its a PSP port.
flcl @ Feb 4th 2008 11:13AM
Devil may cry is, i dont know about turok. But bestbuy has a deal now where you can get them both for $90. You might want to check it out.
Orangecoke @ Feb 4th 2008 11:16AM
I saw Turok for sale last week as well.
Sushi-X @ Feb 4th 2008 11:28AM
Gamestop had Turok for sale last week, and some stores will have Devil May Cry for sale on Tuesday at 5 p.m. So if you really want the game early, check out your local store.
deaftly @ Feb 4th 2008 11:49AM
such a stupid looking cover
Brent @ Feb 4th 2008 12:04PM
Anybody know if this Twisted Metal is online capable? If I pick it up, will I be able to play online with my PS3?
theCardinal @ Feb 4th 2008 12:21PM
We PS3 owners get the shaft again, missing out on such classics as he Spiderwich Chronicles and Karaoke Revolution: American Idol Encore. Darn.
maverick_saturn_626 @ Feb 4th 2008 3:36PM
Oh dear oh dear, what will they do? lol
dizzy @ Feb 4th 2008 12:30PM
If Assassin's Creed for the DS lets me jump 50 stories from atop a cathedral into a pile of hay, then hop out to kidney-stab some beggars and drunks, I'm all for it. Nothing like stress relief on the go.
Other than that, Culdcept Saga for sure this week.
Mr.ESC @ Feb 4th 2008 1:46PM
Bu..but it should be the American Idol edition, lol
I'm picking Devil may cry 4.The demo was badass.
AC:AC...AC sucked but here is some hopin' for the DS version.
Zsavior @ Feb 4th 2008 2:50PM
Yeah I definitely want DMC4 got the Demo and I enjoyed the hell out of it. Ready to go get that bad boy right now.
Synner @ Feb 4th 2008 3:07PM
Guess I'm the only one who wants to get my karaoke on. The wife and I love these games. Plus in about a year and a half when they are impossible to find, you can cash in on ebay.
maverick_saturn_626 @ Feb 4th 2008 3:38PM
Who plays these games? Spiderwich chronicles, wtf? I sometimes wonder if devs think, 'hmm, lets make a game', 'what about?' 'Dunno, we'll just try it out and see what happens, if there is any prat stupid enough to buy, we'll give them a free cookie for their troubles'.
BIGGEN @ Feb 4th 2008 4:44PM
anyone else think the upper character (Dante` i'm guessing?) looks like Sean Bean (Boromir from Lord of the Rings)?
