Roam if you want to, roam around the world, but first check out this week's Rock Band downloadable content, bringing us party-favorite listening from the B-52's in the form of Roam. Oh, how we long for Love Shack or Rock Lobster, but that'll have to wait. Plus, it's hard pulling off Fred Schneider's talkie voice without feeling a little self-conscious.
This is the first week that I won't be picking up a single song. I'm sure there are plenty of B-52s, KISS and FNM fans out there, these just aren't for me. *shrug*
Hey Fernando KISS sucks!! They're a bunch of sell outs and worry about making money instead of making decent music. Rage has way more musical talent than KISS does. TROLL
I laugh at your comment "Only Led Zeppelin... the other ones sucks...
OMG YES!!! The B-52's are one of my fav all time bands, they were the second concert I went to when I was a kid. Looks like I'll be 4 bucks poorer tomorrow, how can you not get a KISS song??? You rock harmonix.
A band doesn't suck because you don't like them. All of these bands have been successful because they're talented musicians who have written and played good music. The only thing that sucks is your inability to see past your own bias.
"311, Alien Ant Farm, Rage Against the Machine, Incubus, Pearl Jam, Primus, Shinedown, Led Zeppelin, POTUSA, The Offspring"
...despite 'Zepplin, Pearl Jam and Primus; all the rest had better music initially than their recent stuff. Oh, and WTF... they put in 'Roam' for the B-52, but not ROCK LOBSTER? :P Hell, even DONKEY KONGA had that...
FOXHOUND: I actually agree with you to an extent. Most of those bands had their best stuff early on. But their early stuff would be great for Rock Band! "New Skin" by Incubus "Beautiful Disaster" by 311 "Animal" by Pearl Jam "Peaches" by POTUSA They'd all be fun!
You always act as if you're and solely you are the last man on Earth that loves rock and roll. Your comments on music always have this "Kids these days..." attitude that just so ridiculous.
I don't know how it is where you're from, (I understand its somewhere between Southern California and Mexico due to your duel citizen status)but I live north of you closer to Los Angeles and trust me, the world hasn't given up on Classic Rock just yet. Every fucktard of a student walks around like they just came through a portal from the 60's and 70's. You should consider moving up here, you may be happier.
most of the bands would suck for guitar hero or rock band since their music is so simplistic. It's like adding the blink 182 song a few weeks ago, that thing on expert was = to a regular rock band song on medium. Then again most modern day "rock" is like that. Again, not every song that may be fun to listen to is fun to play.
I would argue that a song like Anna Molly by Incubus could be pretty difficult. The picking rhythm in that song is pretty difficult to get down on a real guitar. The drums aren't a cake-walk either. But that's just one song.
I'm not a LZ fan but I know tons of people who are. RP is one of the top R&R vocalists ever (Freddie Murcury is my #1). But really, RP can't even do RP. The Humane Society would never allow it.
But you know what would be a kickass song? Silverchair's "Tomorrow". I hadn't heard that song in years until recently... and the first thing that popped into my head is "This song is PERFECT for Rock Band!"
You don't live in Pittsburgh, do you? Reason I ask is that they just played Tomorrow for the first time in years on the local rock station the other day.
That put a smile on my face. I'm a big fan of early Silverchair stuff. Tomorrow would work well for Rock Band.
Hell, we need a 90's pack in general. Or several. I can think of a lot of rock songs from the 90's I'd love to see on Rock Band. Ah, memory lane...
Pretty stinky this week...I find nothing redeeming about any of those track choices...There are better songs for FNM and KISS and there are better alley cat fights than the B52s.
Yeah, that's probably the only one for me this week. Not a bad choice...wish they'd give us Shout It Out Loud, Hard Luck Woman, Strutter...but most of all, they need to get Love Gun out there.
Sweet, I love the B-52s. Variety is the spice of life; odd selections like Roam are always welcome, and it's nice to get a song with female vocals for a change. That brings the grand total of "chick" songs up to what... 4, 5?
I agree with all of those, except I could live without the RatM and Primus. Although, that doesn't mean that I think they are horribly bands, I'm just not a big fan :)
