The Green Mile actor Barry Pepper to voice Prototype lead

Other voices confirmed for Prototype include NYPD Blue's Gordon Clap and CSI's Paul Guilfoyle, both of which publisher Sierra note as being appropriate additions to the cast given the game's "uniquely mysterious and conspiracy-filled plot." Prototype is expected to change shape and smash New York City later this year for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

At first I thought you meant John Coffey, like the drink, just not spelt the same.
Vaporizer @ Feb 4th 2008 8:05PM
He was also the sniper in Saving Private Ryan, but I can't think of his character's name right now.
Derick @ Feb 4th 2008 8:09PM
He's also in We Were Soldiers.
It became a running gag in my US history class.
SPOT BARRY PEPPER!
Is he in Pearl Harbor?
he should have been.

MasterShake6307 @ Feb 4th 2008 8:51PM

Jake @ Feb 4th 2008 9:40PM
That's not him, Bill is played by Alex Winter.
MasterShake6307 @ Feb 4th 2008 9:57PM

Beatz @ Feb 4th 2008 8:09PM
That guy looks like Altair from Assassins' Creed mated with a dinosaur and started wearing a sweater vest. The guy in the picture, not Barry Pepper.
Sam406 @ Feb 4th 2008 8:25PM
Hey your right, though I can't tell which I have bigger problems with, the horribly deformed reptilian skin, the vest or the fact that you suggested that Altair had a night of passion with a crocodile.
Ranus Studios @ Feb 4th 2008 8:41PM
He appears to have been quite prominent in Battlefield Earth, as well.
Heh.
32_Footsteps @ Feb 5th 2008 2:35AM
And here, I thought I was the only one who would remember Barry saving the world from the menace that is John Travolta's Dreadlocks.
baby sea tuna @ Feb 5th 2008 8:47AM

Deck @ Feb 4th 2008 8:50PM
Sweet!
I'm looking forward to this games potential. It could actually be really fun, it could also bomb. But, only time will tell that one I guess.
Jose @ Feb 4th 2008 9:09PM

bamb0o-stick @ Feb 5th 2008 6:38AM
Barry Pepper seems to be in a ton of historical war movies. He was also in Flags of Our Fathers, and also one of the goons in Enemy of the State.
AJ @ Feb 5th 2008 7:27AM
You all are CRAZY! Barry Pepper's seminal role was that of "The Intimidator," Dale Earnhardt in ESPN's film making masterpiece, "3." The greatest film ever committed to celuloid.
While he was not eligible for an Oscar for that role, his big huge mustache won a SAG award for the performance! Pepper himself however, is still awardless.
Oh yeah, Pepper was also on an episode of "Highlander" where he played a long haired Immortal who got his punk-ass head cut off by Duncan MacLeod (Of the Clan MacLeod, Sucka!).
Orangecoke @ Feb 5th 2008 10:12AM
Pretty cool actor actually. And yep, for me his most memorable role is the sniper from SPR. He was awesome in that :)
Leobebes @ Feb 5th 2008 2:45PM
Too bad he is a prominent Scientologist.
