UTIII finally gets a European release date

It was notable late last year the great job Epic did in ensuring Unreal Tournament III hit its promised stateside release before 2007 ended. While seemingly all the attention was focused on North America, gamers in Europe were left on the outside looking in as Epic couldn't nail down a firm release date for the region ... until now.

Eurogamer has learned from Midway that the game will be available on Feb. 22, ending the weeks of impatient waiting from the series' longtime fans. With the mod cooker released and user-created mods now showing up, it looks like European gamers will be in for quite the treat when they finally get their hands on it.

wow how do u tlk in ut3 I have no idea how to plz help

It's about time EU players get to experience the intense bliss that is UT3.

UT3 is a great game, but even though it is a mainly multiplayer game I still had hopes that they would give it a bit of a Gears treatment with a good single player campaign. Unfortunately it wasn't to be so.
Though the multiplayer aspect of the game remains true to its roots and is some intense fun.

I've had this date for the past three weeks... Guess I should've said something, eh?

strange its coming out so late in europe.. NZ and AUS have the date 14th feb.. a whole week earlier? strange.. we usually get games last.

Yeah, it's pretty strange, since PS3 is going so well in Europe. Although I've got no numbers of how well Epic games Unreal series sold in Europe before.

I'm really looking forward to playing UT3 och PS3.

This is just f*cked up. Europe is always left behind, I thought things would change with the PS3 seeing the games are regionfree. It's situation "Playstation and Playstation 2" all over again.
