New Japanese PS3 targets Satin worshippers

Never one to cast judgment upon any potential customers, Sony has announced a new PlayStation 3 color aimed at Japanese kids in service of Satin. Packing a 40GB hard drive and a matching SIXAXIS wireless controller, the "Satin Silver" model is scheduled for release on March 6th at the price of ¥39,980, or approximately ~~$666~~ $376.

Those hoping to feel Satin's rumblings in their idle hands can also pick up a similarly colored Dual Shock 3, which releases on the same day for ¥5,500 ($52). If you were foolish enough to pledge your allegiance to that Ceramic White model, consider this your chance to repaint.

Simply godly :) Why are all these colours only releasing now? ¬_¬

Remember back when PS3 was shown for the first time and they had several colours on display, we all thought silver and white as well as black would be a choice, nope, we all bought black, and now we are stuck with it.

Still...a platinum satin PS3, rather tempting...

I'll only buy it if it comes with that sweet boomerang controller.

Man I loved that controller

I kind of liked the boomerang controller. I had a PC controller once that was similar in design and it was actually pretty comfortable. Trying to play Street Fighter with it, though, was one hell of a chore.

At the very least the look of the boomerang fit the PS3. As is now, I'm stuck with this outdated ergonomic nightmare that looks like it just walked out of a Run DMC concert.

Myself and everyone I know (IRL) like the classic playstation controller above and beyond anything else ever created. I'm glad they went back to what works instead of those stupid boomerangs.

Oh, and I'm a Gloss worshiper myself.

yea i wouldnt have minded trying out the boomerang too. the curvature of it fits better with the PS3's design then the Sixaxis/DS3 do. i still love the classic Playstation controller but i wouldnt have minded trying something new. im sure it was comfortable.

The play on words couldn't have been made any more obvious, as I'm sure you've already figured out by now.

Although satin sheets are great and the silver finish is slightly satinlike, I don't think everyone is intending to worship satin. I believe everyone including the blogger meant Satan. Of course I could just be missing the humor.
