'No plans' to add Conker and Jade Empire to Xbox Originals [update]

Update: Microsoft has told us that the press materials were updated for an internal marketing request. The publisher "currently has no plans" to bring Conker: Live and Reloaded and Jade Empire to the Xbox Originals lineup.

Hot on the heels of some new Xbox Originals releases comes word that more may be on the way. Specifically, Conker: Live & Reloaded and Jade Empire may soon be appearing as downloadable titles on Xbox 360.

According to 360sync, Microsoft has recently updated its press materials for both Conker and Jade Empire. Considering neither title is particularly new, and both are already supported by backwards compatibility, it seems logical that Microsoft may be updating assets in preparation for an Xbox Originals announcement.

Of course, it could also be coincidental. X3F reports that Microsoft also updated its press materials for Kameo and Perfect Dark Zero on the same day, suggesting that the updates might simply be part of an early spring cleaning, and nothing more.

Disc or d/l, I'd still love to try out Jade Empire.

It's a good game. Maybe not the best Bioware title, but it's still good.

I just picked up the PC port of Jade Empire for $10 from Gogamer's 48-96 hour madness sale thingy.

get it on ebay, i found it for 50 cents (6.00 shipping)

I wouldn't mind seeing a new conker game...

But really: Bad Fur Day.... it needs rep on the 360...

I liked Conker's BFD, and the fur effect they applied to COnker is cool, but he looked a little too scruffy in my opinion.

Any less scruffy and they would have given the game an AO, true medical fact...

Honestly, i think given the limitations of the time, it's a fine job. Try and do the same on the PS2 (or even the Wii to be honest) and you'll fall short.

They used the same effect on Fox in Starfox Advetures - for Game Cube. The power was definitely there to do it differently. I just thought it was a bit overdone in Conker, that's all. :P

They use the same effect on Final Fantasy CC o the Gamecube and in Mario Galaxy, in the Queen Bee. And almost all the enemies in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat use that effect.

Now these are a couple of games I might not mind shelling out for. I used to own Jade Empire, and finished it, but I sold it off with the rest of my original XBOX stuff back when I got my 360.

Conker I never owned, but I saw reviews of it, and it seemed funny enough.

With Conker and Pirates being released, I'm beginning to actually like the XBL originals concept. Now, if they only had achievements.

no doubt. i LOVED the beach multiplayer in the N64 Conker. the Xbox update pulled those great multiplayer games out. bastards.

The XBox Originals program would triple in awesomeness with the addition of Beyond Good and Evil.

That is all.

And still no Oddworld or Advent Rising :(

I wonder if there is going to be a port of the original for the Xbox live,that would be awesome.

Finally, I've been looking for Conker in every used game store I know, and they don't carry it because it’s so popular. But as soon as I found out about Xbox Originals I hoped that this day would come.

I just asked for Jade Empire in a previous post and now it may be a reality! w00t w00t!

Will be getting Ninja Gaiden again. And maybe Conker. I already have Psychonauts and plan on picking up Indigo Prophecy

But here is my list of what I really want to see:

Beyond Good and Evil
Oddworld
Jet Set Radio Future (fuck yeah!)
and
Panzer Dragoon Orta

There are still more games. But those are all I could think of off the top of my head. I'm going to need the bigger hard-drive dammit!

I want KoTOR, damn it!

If conker is priced at 10 I would jump out on it. But if its priced any higher than that it makes better sense to just buy at used at a local game store. I've seen Jade for as low as $8 dollars. But at this point that game will take to much of my time.
