The only thing better than a trickle of solid game releases after the holiday season is getting one of those games on-the-free. TheManRoom is offering one lucky reader a chance to win a copy of Devil May Cry 4 for the Xbox 360 or the PS3. Residents of the United States and Canada are invited to enter the contest once per day until the draw closes on February 22 at 9:59pm PST. We recommend the Xbox 360 version, only because we tend to play games as soon as we insert them into our consoles and not when we're planning to take a long hot bubble bath while it installs. But hey, that's just us!

February 22nd seems like too big of a window especially since the prize won't maintain a high level of interest like say an hd tv would.

Nice poke at the installation. When I get home, I want to play, not burn 30 mins. :)

You'll make up the 30 minutes while waiting for things to load on the 360 lol.

After the 23 min upload from the disc, the 360 version STILL loads faster.

Nah Tony, just read the reviews even after the installation the load times are still comparable to the 360 version. Nice jab at PS3 version and oh so very true, however I hear it's optional..(?)

Important point: in the discussion for the PS3FB review, a lot of people say the difference is "1-3 second load on PS3, 4-6 second load on 360". It may be "twice as long", but frankly I need hard drive space more than I need an extra ~minute per day of play time.

Devil May Cry 4. I never heard of the series until I saw the Demo online. It was pretty fun. I wouldnt buy the game but If I won it, I would have no problem with that.

which CVG clarifies as "one or two seconds shy of those in the [Xbox] 360 [version of the game].

There are certain points where the game takes longer than that....

I have both systems, but Loading it to the HD seems better and at least the PS3 has more HD space, and with a easy and cheap way to boost HD space how can you go wrong? (way to go MS, proprietary!!) than the premium 360 I had. It's still pretty sad after getting an Elite and transferring data over I have 100 gigs left with 1 south park vid and 4 demos.
Blah. I like have HD space. VF4 didnt take that long to install.

It would be one thing if the install was optional. It is not. Like previous people gave said, 4 gbs is not worth the few seconds you get from a forced 25 min install.
If I go out and buy a 40 gb PS3 and 5 games that need to install, wouldn't I run out of HDD space pretty quickly? Not every PS3 user is aware or even has the ability to change out the HDD. But you say, "I can delete the data". Sure, but you will have to do an install everytime you want to play (x) game.
I'm aware not every PS3 game needs an install. I've looked over quite a few at my local game shop. Not all force an install. Some require 3-5 gb, while other may only use 512 kb. If DMC4 is any indication of future PS3 games, this is a huge blow to the PS3 camp.

Ah, but you see......the PS3 does not require you to upgrade to a proprietary hard drive manufactured by Sony!
And you know......it's only 5GB of data and can always be deleted after you have finished the game. Who would have thought huh?

All games don't force you to install it. I think it's more Capcom thing than Sony. I'm sure MS would do the same if HD space was not a issue with the 360.

I don't know why Capcom didn't take the same approach as Naughtydog to get rid of load times. In Uncharted you only see the loading screen when you start the game but after that it's smooth sailing. You never see a loading screen....unless ofcourse you quit out of the game and go back to it....and the best part?
There is no installation to the HDD at all.
