First Guitar Hero 4 song revealed

It's amazing where you find video game news these days. Case in point, Eurogamer has picked up on a press release from British rock band The Answer, touting the inclusion of their single "Never Too Late" (video above) in the next Guitar Hero game (which, incidentally and unsurprisingly, is coming out by the end of 2008).
The band was one of 20 picked by Activision at a Guitar Hero listening session put on by Activision at France's MIDEM conference, where over 200 artists vied for a coveted spot in the new game. Answer fan debbywebby has also posted a list of 30 other tracks that are "unconfirmed as of yet" for the game. There's no indication where she got her information, but when has that mattered? Let the rampant speculation begin!

Who said Led Zeppelin and Robert Plant delayed their tour?

Screw Activision and their money grubbing no rock band ps3 guitar compatibility attitude.

Okay, I've never been a "huge" fan of rythym games but have decided to get this for parties and get togethers but I still can't find a clear answer: "Does the 360 have a guitar hero III bundle w wireless controller and can I then buy and use I and II games with it?"

1 is playstation 2 exclusive, and has the best tracks in the series.
You can buy 2 though, and pay 2 times as much as it costs to just buy the whole game for about a 5th of downloadable guitar hero 1 songs. (The advantage being they were retooled to better handling that 2 has over 1).

They should begin either
A. Subtitling the Guitar Heros like they do with NFS, that way it doesn't seem like there are a million
B. Call them like Guitar Hero 08 or Guitar Hero 2K8 or what ever

Is the lead singer a guy or a girl? Looks/sounds like a cross between Janis Joplin, Sammy Hagar, and Robert Plant.

The 30 unconfirmed songs sounded somewhat plausible because Aerosmith is supposed to play a big part in the next game and they had 4 songs.
Then I read "Stairway to Heaven" and realized it was a bunch of bull. I highly doubt that Zep is going to release Stairway to a GH game. If we ever see it, it will probably be in Rock Band and even that is doubtful.

Gah! There is absolutely no need for this when you could just release it as DLC. I don't want to buy another guitar, I already have two. I don't want to have to swap discs like I do at the moment to play Sweet Child Of Mine and Paranoid. Just release evry song that you would on this as DLC. Problem solved.

Guitar hero on a disk is much cheaper than even Rock Band DLC, let along GH DLC. Some people, like me, would much rather have disks than DLC. Also considering that certain consoles wont be getting DLC, and GH4 will easily worth the engine enhancements. Can't get everything right on your first try, and Neversoft's GH3 is a perfect example of it.

You know what, as a guy who enjoys all Guitar Hero and Rock Band games, I really can't stand this Rock Band Fanboyism.
Sure, Guitar Hero 3 wasn't the best, but I had fun and enjoyed it. I don't get why everyone says that Guitar Hero 3 is complete crap. It has it's flaws, but give Neversoft a break, it was their first rhythm game. Harmonix made rhythm games before Guitar Hero. Actually, their GH engine uses bits and pieces from their older games.
Also, to all of the Rock Band fanboys blaming Activision.... uh... they were involved with Guitar Hero II and 80s. Neversoft is the one to blame, and I'll give GHIV a go. If it still doesn't end up well, then that is that. Neversoft is already working out the kinks with their GH engine as we speak, and many key Guitar Hero players are getting involved with the project. Give GH4 a chance before you dismiss it. Besides, its a game you haven't played yet.

Playing Black Hole Sun sounds like an awesome idea...
Until you fall asleep halfway into it.
Let the casuals play Rock Band. Unless the sequel picks a track list that's interesting on a guitar, I stick with Guitar Hero. (I'll just have to live without Enter Sandman, oh well.)

stupid, stupid, stupid. The worst thing they could do to kill the GH momentum is to come out with yet ANOTHER game. Have they ever heard of diluting the market? That's exactly what they're doing by coming out with four GH games in 3 years. If there's no anticipation for a new game, people won't thing it's as big a deal. Kinda like what Master P did with the rap game. Not to say that he was that great of a rapper, but his popularity fell because he came out with a new album like every month!!!

Dumb kids, Harmonix, the makers of Guitar hero I, II, and Encore:Rocks the 80's, made rock band. The geniuses sold Guitar Hero to Activision (makers of THPS series), whom did a horrible job on Guitar Hero III. The few decent songs didn't make up for all of the junk on there. I mean come on, (late) In Flames, KillSwitch Engage, and Slipknot?! What were they thinking?
Harmonix made good use of bonus songs, and chose bands that actually played there instruments (For all you noobs, Dragonforce doesn't). They moved onto Rock Band, as have I. I will not buy this game.
