Professor Layton sequel already 'confirmed' for U.S.

Game | Life is reporting that the last page of the instruction manual for Professor Layton and the Curious Village, a game we're sure will hit American shores with the force of a malnourished hummingbird, reveals that the sequel (which is already available in Japan) will eventually head to the states. A password entry feature in the first game requires a code from the second game to unlock -- the American instruction manual confirms this, saying that the password "will be revealed in the sequel."
We're giddy like schoolgirls over Professor Layton, but if the first game doesn't sell in the U.S., can they really justify publishing a sequel for our unrefined store shelves? Well, other than the sequel we already have -- the Circuit City exclusive adventures of Professor Lipton, Professor Layton's long lost, yet incredibly refreshing second cousin.

As long as they reveal the password in the future...
I hope it sells. Got my copy already, and am already stuck.

This game is a more important buy to me than any "hardcore" game coming. Thank god games like this are being made.

This game is making my brain hurt hardcore.

Since it's suppose to be a trilogy, I would imagine a sequel is a no-brainer.

Tell that to all the Shining Force 3 Scenario 1 owners.

I've got this on pre-order.
The public school "British" accents initially put me of, but the incredibly visuals were too much of an attraction. I hope there is an option of turn of the speech though.
anilramcharand @ Feb 10th 2008 7:58PM
is this game good?

Yes.

Played it for 3 hours today after picking up, with my girlfriend snatching my DS away every time I was stuck. Great fun, and I hope it sells like crazy.

That image is starting to drive me crazy. It's on the back of a bunch of magazines that are all over my floor, I keep seeing it places in public, and now this website. Every morning, I wake up, and that picture is staring me in the face, its so....annoying looking. Now, after getting up and seeing it again, its on the morning blog posts. Maybe this is a sign that I should play the game, or that this professor layton guy is coming to kill me.
