I turn it on once a week. Not because there aren't any games and what not, nor is it the fact that I'm "getting bored with it" which seems to be an answer found.

It's because I truly lack the time to play. School, friends, homework, girlfriend are all keeping me busy.

I'd love to play it more though, but school is too much at the moment.

I use my PS3 for watching movies from HDD on remote-PSP viewing, and then there's also DMC4 and Super Stardust HD which is still awesome fun.

By the way, the way you worded your last poll was very bias.

It confuses me that people say their PS3's collect dust because
a) All PS3's collect dust, and the shiny black finish shows it off nicely
b) Why'd you buy something you never use.

Another vote for leave it on all the time, but I play it only when I'm not playing something on the PSP. I have a backlog of PS2 and PSP games to get through before the AAA PS3 titles start coming out.

poll should also ask why we're turning it on. If it weren't for Pixel Monsters (LOVE) I'd only be turning it on to watch movies.

I am turning it on daily, but only for movies (blu-ray and DVD), streaming videos and music. I try the new games if there is a demo, but I usually only play it once.

If it isn't on the entire day, I turn it on maybe 3 times a day.

Just today and yesterday, I played DMC3, Twisted Metal: Head on, Pixeljunk Monsters, watched Juno, and used Linux.

@Eugene:
How do I edit my blogsmith profile? Or how do I create one under my current posts? Is there a way to do so?

find one of your posts and click on your name. You'll be able to login to your account from that page and then you can upload an avatar and what not. Hope that helps.

I bought a 360 when it came out. I use it maybe a few times a week. I bought a Wii when it came out. I use it maybe once or twice a month. I bought a PS3 last year after not really wanting one, and now I use it almost daily. It has become my favorite of the three, although they each have their strengths. I'll only be able to play Mario Kart on Wii, Xbox Live is awesome, but PS3 has my heart :)

"At least 447 of you admitted your grudge is pointless."
No, at least 447 admitted they had a grudge, the pointless part was assumed by the Poll Police. But hey, this isn't a fanboy blog for nothing, amirite?
As for this week, I went for every other day or so. Whilst I do turn the console on every day, I mightn't actually use it. It's gotten a lot of use the last few days since I was playing Assassin's Creed, but I'm finished now so it'll probably go into another lull. I'd play Tekken Online a lot more often if it wasn't for the fact that it's riddled with bugs and an awful community, if any. I play Theme Hospital a good bit, but on the PSP.

I turn mine on daily to check messages from friends. Proabably play ps3/ps2 games on it every other day and PSN games I usually end up playing one of my 25 PSN games each time I turn it on. It's also my main dvd/blu ray player in my living room. My 360 I play about once a week and my Wii I play about once a month but turn it on daily to check Everybody Votes.

Someday I will find something to play on it.

Right. So every time I go to the PS3 section, walk up and down a few times and walk away uninterested, it's somehow MY fault?

I play my PS3 everyday, with Burnout Paradise and UT3 in the majority of my playtime right now. I just finished Ratchet and Clank, and have been working through the 'Challenge' mode, which is even more fun than the normal mode. I recommend that game to everyone that is looking for something amazing to play on their PS3.

Been using my PS3 more for upscaling DVDs (not that impressed with BluRay btw) than actually playing games. And I've been downloading and playing more demos than actually buying new games or playing the few that I already own.

My PS3 is getting zero love from me...because it's broken. I think COD4 bricked my disk drive. The PS3 won't read disks anymore and when I put them in, they don't spin. Right now I'm just praying that I'm still under warranty. Spending $150 to fix a problem I didn't cause just doesn't sit well with me.

BUT! If my PS3 wasn't broken, it would be receiving tons of love.

I love the way fanboys treat this issue. I remember seeing a post on Engadget from some Wii-boy who claimed he bought a Wii and a PS3 on the same day two months ago and while he's played the Wii every single day, the Sony console remains unpacked in its box. Hilarious.

Me? Every single day, but not always to play a game. About a 80/20 split for gaming/non-gaming activity.

I turn on the ps3 to play COD4 everyday...just picked up DMC plus I have a backlog of all the other good ps3 titles I haven't touched (Skate, Ratchet and Clank, AC, Folklore, etc). I have game-collecting disease.

The 360 gets played maybe once every week or once every 2 weeks (for 360 COD4). Again, I have a bunch of games to complete on that console as well (Dead Rising, Condemned).

Lastly, and sadly, the wii gets no love. I have a few games for it but just haven't felt that motivated to play them (Mario Galaxy, Trauma Center 2).

I play a 1-3 times a week. With a busy work schedule and a girlfriend in the house, there's not always that much time where I can appropriate the TV for personal use.

I wish I had the problem of not having enough games for it. I think it likely that those who said there aren't enough games either play way too much or are way too focused on a particular genre. I haven't played nearly enough Warhawk. Haven't played portal or TF2, haven't played COD4 or Folklore..... There's so much I have left to do....

I'm in the lucky position to have a gaming girlfriend. So we both love our ps3 practically everyday. Currently Pixel Junk Monsters, Singstar and GH III get the most love. We had a blast playing through R:FOM too and are eagerly waiting for some fresh coop fun. When the gf falls asleep, it's COD4 time.

It's definitely a love-hate relationship for me. I use it pretty much every day after work for hours and hours. So many awesome games, as opposed to the other systems which just have many games. I thought the Wii would be the console I'd love and spend all my time on, but the PS3 really really surprised me. My Wii is actually the console which sits there unused--I still haven't even finished Mario Galaxy because I'd honestly rather play R&C through a third time.

Oh, the 'hate' part of that relationship is that it's monopolizing my time, but I just can't tear myself away! With my other consoles I can take or leave the games. I'll get into one for a few days then not play any games for a few weeks, but the PS3 is like a drug I can't live without. Grrr, damn you Sony!

Play it every day for several hours a day cuz I just got Oblivion a couple weeks ago. WarHawk and Ninja Gaiden have been collecting dust because of Oblivion.

I love playing my PS3 so much I've been neglecting my Tivo. Luckily the writer's strike has given me more time to play my PS3 without falling behind on my TV shows.

I still want to get Burnout and I'm looking forward to Vikings and I'll probably try COD4 and Uncharted at some point but I figure I'll wait to pick them up when I'm finished or tired of playing what I have. In the mean time the prices might drop.

If firmware 2.10 did a better job playing my video files, I'd be using it as a media hub a lot more often. Most of my avi files get that 800##### error when I try to play them.

I use my PS3 (launch 60 GB) every day, mostly for internet surfing (the browser is not-so-good, but it IS on my HDTV) and to play demos and movies. I would play games more often, but I'm waiting for some price drops on software (cheapskate and have many PS2 games still unfinished) and I've primarily been playing Jeanne D'Arc since Xmas (finished it at 5:00 last night).

p.s. Sony, where's the Resistance Greatest Hits love?

My poor PS3 is not played much since my 360 gets all the love. I play CoD4, BlueDragon, Lost Odyssey, Mass Effect, Gears, Halo3 and FFXI online on my 360. I play Resistance, WarHawk and Uncharted but not much else since I like long deep games and don't like games like Lair, Heavenly nor MotorStorm style of games so for my the 360 has more games that cator to my style of gaming. I own both HD-DVD and BR movies but I guess ny the way BR is gaining much ground I will be using my Gaming Console "PS3" as a movie player instead. LMFAO
