Finally!
I hope the Wii will soon be able to run Linux, so I can try to make some fun programs for it myself.
Until now the only reason someone would mod their Wii is piracy, but I couldn't care less about that.

It works on my Wii, pretty neat. Too bad it disables the Wiimote's functionality as soon as the game starts(PAL version of the Wii and TP)

Interesting...Are there any lasting effects to crashing your Wii?

I don't know anything about hacking, so I may be wrong, but it seems like the kind of thing Nintendo could easily release a patch for...
Future copies of the game may also be fixed to prevent that glitch (assuming new copies are still being made).

the wii screen has no clock displayed, so it has an older, not-updated firmware, correct?

Watch closely right before he clicks the tools icon. The time is clearly displayed, but only for a few frames.

Nice catch though! ;)

The hack's compatibility relies solely on the game version, not the Wii's firmware. Mine's updated to the latest firmware and as said before it works. The Wii and TP are PAL launch versions though.

However, this could be blocked through a firmware update that checks for corrupted/specific save files for TP(or other games)

Apparently it doesnt work with all current versions of the game.

If you follow the link in the thread it will tell you text strings for discs and which are working.

Step 1. Buy a launch copy of TP
Step 2. Wait for hack to be developed and gain infamy.
Step 3. Sell launch TP on ebay a few years down the road
Step 4. Profit!
