Dynasty Warriors 6 goes gold, plus new screens

With the North American release of Dynasty Warriors 6 just one week away, Koei confirms that the game has gone gold. Dynasty Warriors 6 is expected to ship out to North American retailers by February 19. It'll still be a good seven days before we actually get back to our exciting (read: familiar) adventures in ancient China ... so in the meantime, have a gander at these new screenshots:

So what is the normal time it takes between when a game goes "gold" and it hits the shelves ? The actual manufacturing can't be less than 2 weeks, can it ?

So, no preview, no news, nothing to be excited about... This is going to be great. What's new in this one besides different graphics?

pre-ordering this bad boy tomorrow!!! im surprised it took this long for the game to go gold. i would have expected to have gone gold a week or so ago already.

Those sh** graphics hurt my face.

If you were to show me these screens and say this is the new PS2 version I would have believed it. Oh, and why am I seeing the exact same characters as the last 5 games? Will it never end? I wish they'd sell this franchise to a company that could do it some justice, these games could be made really addictive if they tried.

You sir are a moron. The characters will NEVER change. It's based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms, therefore the story structure will never change. It will always sell no matter what. It is repetitive, but fun. You can apply the same logic to Halo. If you have nothing better to say, please refrain from post crapping.

Looks fine to me, after all this IS DW we're talking about here.

As for the same characters... once again, this is DW, its set in a certain time period, revolving around certain iconic eastern heroes....yeah they pretty much rehash everything, every game, but hey...it sells and at least this time they UPDATED the dang thing.

Either way... *sigh* I'll probably buy it, and then again when empires comes out.... i know i have a sickness.

Wow, looks exactly like every OTHER FREAKING DYNASTY WARRIORS GAME EVER MADE.

Honestly, why do they keep re-releasing this game over and over. It's a terrible series that gets like tiny updates each game. Its garbage. These should be free updates to the old one.
