A newspaper clip for the new Rambo film (via IAMfourtwozero) lauds an Arizona Daily Start review (found here) that calls it, "A nasty, Call of Duty 4 style shoot 'em up!" We're still laughing, but it's interesting to note how they're trying to reach out to a specific audience. Check out the highlights for today:

Of the many bloody movies I saw as a kid I still haven't seen Rambo movies all the way through.

So if Rambo = COD4 does that mean Halo3 = Terminator or Rocky?

***SPOILER***
Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing a mini-game of "escape the failed bomb exploding in the forest". Great movie for RAMBO fans, easily the best of the series IMO. Not sure where they got the CALL OF DUTY4 feeling out of this other than gun usage; but hey... whatever promotes both'em helps, I guess.

This movie rocked. I wasn't expecting Oscar-worthy performances, and that kept me grounded enough to enjoy what was there. I'm with Foxhound on this one...I have no idea how CoD4 fits in there, except for some doses of brutality and intensity (.50 cal mayhem ftw). BUT, for a bit of irony, which paper wrote that review?
The Arizona Daily Star.
And John Rambo is from?
Bowie, Arizona.
Coincidence?
Probably.
