Yeah... Now that I think about it... If it wasn't EA related I'd be more in doubt... and how often are the April Fools jokes the cover story?

But still its a very real possibility...

Man, it always gets on my nerves when people use the Cyrillic letter Я like an English R. It makes a "ya" sound you know. They are two different alphabets.

What they are basically saying is Yaed Alert. Or PC Gameya.

Obviously its just for design choices, like the way they did Borat. On the cover of the movie, the way they spelled it would've been pronounced "Voyadt"

OOO... The C&C series (westwood games) practically got me through middle school. I still play Tiberium Sun quite often... I always liked it better than Red Alert 2 for some reason. Awesome!

The Red Alert series is for babies. I'll take Total Annihilation any day over it, and Supreme Commander once I get this time machine to work so I can buy a laptop that will run it at 60 fps.

I don't know. Part of me wants to gather resources again.... the other part of me has been digging Relics solution of RTS games which is capturing strategic points and holding them. I've been really addicted to Company of Heroes and frankly, I don't miss the first five minutes of my game being spent establishing my base.

If you want to play against your sister, MAYBE...

But the sheer lack of buttons on both would make RTSing on that console practically an exercise in frustration.

If Westwood isn't involved, then I don't want to be. EA has butchered the games.

Exactly. C&C3 got me to quit EA C&C games for good. I have been looking forward to RA3 for years, but somehow I know this is just going to be C&C3 in RA clothing.

Maybe I am wrong and it will blow my mind.

Alright plain and simple, i did not like C&C3 as a C&C game, but if it was named something else it would have fit better.

So to make RA3 good heres the mix:
1 - Look at the units in RA and RA2
2 - Duplicate them and add 3-5 new ones, same for buildings.
3 - Use a good engine that doesn't need a killer rig, since graphics are nice but doesn't make it a good game
4 - Keep the teams as they were, have diffrent tactics on both, then balance it.
5 - Take your time and polish it (also get some old westwood dudes to work on this)

That is what they needed to make it like the old ones, but better.

RA universe is by far the best and the most popular too. I am happy to hear this but yeah I am a little cautious on it too. C&C 3 was ok but I am just not sure a classic RTS style game is going to satisfy too many people these days and that was the biggest problem I had with C&C 3 especially with games like Company of Heroes which have advanced the genre to new levels. It might work better for consoles than PC gamers since many console gamers know little about the genre.
I feel the same way about Starcraft 2 btw as well. I ge the impression right now that game will be very much a classic RTS and unfortunately will still sell lots copies despite it being inferior to some of the new stuff.

Actually, yes the backwards R is a "Ya" sound however the E makes a "Yeh" sound and the A looking symbol makes a D sound. . . so they are saying Yayehd Dlyehyat. lol. wierd huh?
