Normally, we wouldn't care too much about NERF N-Strike on the Wii, one of many titles in development following EA and Hasbro's lucrative partnership. But our ears definitely perked up when we heard that the title will ship with a specially designed blaster controller, which will perform double-duty as a standard Wii gun peripheral, and as a functional, dart-firing NERF gun.
Shacknews provides an image of the sweet blaster, seen above. According to EA's press release, the game will feature single and multiplayer gameplay focused around "NERF mayhem." Honestly, we're expecting a run-of-the-mill Wii mini-game shooting title, but we're probably going to buy it anyway. After all, this run-of-the-mill Wii game comes with a NERF gun.

well the good thing about adults is that they will eventually become old ppl and no one will listen to them. so now all we hav to do is wait till then and then we're in the clear.

For some reason, I still think Nerf guns are fun. Maybe not as fun as Airsoft guns, but they're pretty fun and have the same value as playing against someone with an AS one. They never get old in my opinion.
This gun peripheral is pretty nice. Picky Wii fanboys who didn't like the Wiizapper now have a more stylish choice, if they have the cash that is.
Also, this peripheral > TC4's light gun.

yeh american went gun-control crazy after that, thats around the same time sega decided not to release a light gun with the dreamcast for house of the dead. wack.
i remember i had the scorpion and warthog nerf guns..before those though, they had guns with scopes, silencers, magazines, semi-autos with batteries and laser-scopes, guns with fake recoil/kick-back, it was actually getting quite ridiculous, as a kid though, of course i thought that shit was cool as hell.

As an intelligent American (oxymoron, I know..)I would like to formally apologize for the retardation of my country..More on topic, I remember my sweet, Nerf-filled childhood...As the only kid in my class with the 4ft Nerf chain fed, hand cranked mini-gun, I was Nerf God...I think it's kinda cool to see this kind of peripheral for the Wii. I imagine missing a target, disagreeing with my Wii, and then pelting it with foam darts...Fun. will. ensue...

That's amazing, I'm definitely buying the game for that, maybe the game won't be that bad, gun minigames can be fun.

Nintendo has the right idea with the peripherals, they just need to market them better. Add color to them, except not nerf colors... White just doesn't cut it, even if that is the color of the system.
Let's face it, they aren't gonna sell games based on graphics, nor are they trying to. Market the games with cool peripherals to boot, and the Wii will remain KING for a very long time.
